- Did you know the Hydro 5% RATE RIDER charge on top of the GST makes ⋯⋯no sense and that it is highly questionable legally-speaking. It's like Walmart saying since I am not sure what bananas costs from the supplier next month so you, customers, pay me the 5% extra first..... to cover my operating costs (in case) price of bananas DID go up, but if the price of bananas stay the same or went down/.... Nope! I am not re-crediting you. That's what a Rate Rider is! I think folks should start rising against this very bad management tactics from all over Canada - the overcharging hydro companies. We, as citizens, have a right to provide ourselves, our seniors and our children a warm home, warm food for health-sake and should not be treated this way!
