Getting to know the leadership within the community makes a difference of understanding opportunities for my clients. Thank you Anna Tovar for your insight.
It was great sitting down having lunch with Tolleson Mayor Anna Tovar discussing real estate and politics of our community. Being a REALTOR herself makes her an... even greater opportunity to know what she has to say.
She will be one of our many speakers for the NAHREP “Policies that IMPACT Homeownership” event coming up next week on April 19th at the Galvinize Downtown (515 W Grant St. Phoenix 85004) starts at 8:30.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
Affordable Housing is a major concern plaguing this country and in Arizona. With all the high rise buildings and once again new build community development in suburb areas projected. Cities should stand up and enact a percentage % of the housing to fall under an affordable housing rule. At the end of day the builders get write-off for the rule and families get affordable housing for the American Dream. #Lawmakersstandup for #affordablehousing
The number one concern I hear from Nevadans over and over again is the lack of access to affordable housing.
That's why, today, I hosted a roundtable with loca...l government officials, community leaders, and housing experts on how I can beat partner with local stakeholders to address the affordable housing and homelessness crisis in Southern Nevada. Too many Nevadans are being driven out of their homes due to rising rents that outpace their stagnant wages.
Las Vegas is one of the top 10 cities in America with the highest homeless population, and has one of the fastest growing youth homeless populations. It remains a top priority of mine to increase the supply of affordable homes and encourage investments in community development and housing programs to help Nevada families.
I will continue to fight for critical federal resources to ensure that we are providing much-needed support to struggling Nevadans.
