Student loans are notorious for fucking up everyone's life between the ages of 18 and 35. You've bought into some sick lie people told you and now you're in tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt while still making the same amount you were making at your dead-end job in high school and not having any health insurance. Winter is coming! It's coming slowly, but nevertheless, it's coming. One of my main goals with this beehive is to keep it alive through the winter. That means we need to prepare. [ 468 more words ]

Today, I added insulation and tar paper to my beehive, covered the outside edge of the top cover with duct tape (forgot to paint it), and listened to my bees buzz at the bottom entrance about all the snow that was covering it. Find out more on Monday's blog post.

I've known about Chaga for awhile and I've refused to buy it ever because I grew up and live amongst birch forests, where they grow. Chaga mushrooms are a parasitic mushroom from the Hymenochaetaceae family. They are known to provide many healing benefits. Apparently the Japanese call it the "Diamond of the Forest." They're found on just about every continent. Chaga mushrooms are packed with nutrients, especially pantothenic acid, which is supposed to be very good for your adrenal glands and supposedly, it fights cancer. [ 304 more words ]

-Written 06/17/2017- When I first noticed my dog was dying, really, this time, she seemed asleep, but she wasn't. She looked up at me with a yearning to rise up and greet me like she used to: tail wagging, eyes twinkling, and sometimes her whole body would shake with a sensation of happiness I may never know myself. Her body had fallen into the crevice between her blanket-covered bed and what could only be described as a poster board. [ 1,104 more word ]

If you've started your paleo journey, you may have come across products that label themselves as "paleo" or "paleo friendly" when their list of ingredients doesn't match up. Not everything labeled paleo is actually paleo, oddly enough. I really don't know how some companies get away with it, and yet, they do. [ 743 more words ]
Great post from a fellow blogger! I did not know that wooly lamb's ear was antibacterial! Woo!

I had a nightmare a few weeks ago that I may have mentioned already. I dreamt that my entire beekeeper club got American Foulbrood (AFB) and had to burn all their hives. I checked mine and my hive did not have it, but when I wasn't looking, the bee hive inspectors killed my bees and burned the hive anyway. [ 914 more words ]

I am no stranger to the Internet, or the "interwebs," as I like to call it (it's just such a funny word to me). I've played around on it since I was in 3rd or 4th grade, growing alongside it as it grew to become one of the most important aspects of society and our lives, overall. [ 614 more words ]

Okay so this is being super truthful about veganism, but also makes fun of the "wellness cult" of which I am a very proud member. She hates on us paleo hoes, but she hate us cuz we ain't us!!!
But for real, she makes really good points about bloggers/instagrammers and how many wellness junkies are FAKES! Which is why I include links to actual, real, scientific research in my posts and I beg my readers to not take my word by itself, but to also research on their own. Happy reading! Happy eating!
We've been silent this week. Lots of cool stuff is happening. Stay tuned and don't forget to look up!

For the past 13 years of my life, I've had an emotional support animal even though she wasn't ever registered. Her name was Lemon, she was a cockatiel, and she saved me from killing myself when I was a teenager. [ 1,595 more word ]
