I have never shopped there. This is to far from my home. I wish it was closer and they gave classes. I would surely attend to do work this great. My excellent score does not cover taste and service it… just covers the quality of the work to make such wonderful masterpieces of art. Afficher la suite

It’s been a rather stressful week in the TCLCC kitchen. Caking and the extreme heat we’ve had do not go well together. Everything acts differently and causes you problems you don’t normally have. What looks like a simple cake caused more than a few tears but I git there in the end and hopefully the lovely Georgia and Oren thought it was worth it and had a wonderful day yesterday.
It was a double barrel 8” cake (chocolate on the bottom and lemon on top) and was an impressive 9” tall. No sugarpaste in this one, just lots of Belgian white chocolate ganache that was dusted to give the pink ombré effect. The drip effect (which I had the mist problems with) was finally done using melted white chocolate which was then painted with edible gold dust mixed with lemon extract. The roses are made from flowerpaste and I love making them now.
