Hey folks, the group Human Life Action is calling people to action. The Department of Health and Human Services is considering rescinding the HHS mandate, but it has to take public comment on it before they take that action. TODAY is the deadline for those comments. Go to https://www.humanlifeaction.org/take-action and select the Call for Public Comments on the HHS Mandate. HLA reported that so far, 24,000 comments have been submitted supporting the current mandate and fewer than 15,000 have been submitted from those who want to get rid of it. They're taking comments until 11:59 Eastern / 8:59 Pacific tonight.

On this page you can Take Action, join our grassroots mission by entering your e-mail to receive future legislative alerts, or find your legislators and see how they have voted on Human Life Action Key Votes.

Little Audrey...

In 1987, 4-year-old Audrey Santo was playing with her brother in the driveway of their home in Worcester, Massachusetts. When her brother came into the house alone, her mother, Linda, and another brother went to look for her and found her face down in their swimming pool. They took her to the hospital, but she would not wake up. After some time, doctors suggested that her parents put her in an institution, but they decided to bring her home to care for her.

...Following a trip to Medjugorje with Audrey, Linda Santo believed that Audrey had agreed to become what’s called a victim soul, a soul that will willingly suffer for others. Austin Ruse recently wrote a book called The Littlest Suffering Souls about three other children who offered their sufferings for others. It’s a hard thing for us adults to see kids suffering and being glad to do it.

Audrey never awoke again and she died at the age of 23 in 2007. But in the intervening years, there were claims of miracles taking place in the Santo home.

Bishop Robert McManus of Worcester has given permission for the Audrey Santo Foundation to open her cause for beatification.

Here's more information on her life and cause...

THE SAINT ANDREW CHRISTMAS NOVENA BEGINS.... THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PRAYER TO PRAY DURING ADVENT.

Christmas Novena

Say 15 times a day from St. Andrew's Day (30 November) until Christmas

...

Hail, and blessed be the hour and moment at which the Son of God was born of a most pure Virgin in a stable at midnight in Bethlehem in the piercing cold. At that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, to hear my prayers and grant my desires. (Mention your intentions here) Through Jesus Christ and His most Blessed Mother.

the Saint Andrew Christmas Novena, also known as the Christmas Anticipation Prayer or simply the Christmas Novena. While a novena is technically a nine-day prayer (the word
comes from the Latin word for nine, novem), the name is sometimes applied to any prayer that we say repeatedly over a series of days.

In this case, Catholics pray the Saint Andrew Christmas Novena prayer 15 times every day from the Feast of Saint Andrew until Christmas.

Proclamation of Thanksgiving

This is the proclamation which set the precedent for America's national day of Thanksgiving. During his administration, President Lincoln issued many orders similar to this. For example, on November 28, 1861, he ordered government departments closed for a local day of thanksgiving.
Sarah Josepha Hale, a 74-year-old magazine editor, wrote a letter to Lincoln on September 28, 1863, urging him to have the "day of our annual Thanksgiving made a Nation...

A prayer to bless the door of your home
Philip Kosloski | Nov 11, 2017

"As we pass through this door, draw us more deeply into your presence."

...

The door is one of the most important parts of our home. Through it we come and go, receive visitors and say goodbye to old friends. It is a place of sadness and joy, departures and entrances.

That is why it is a place where we should invite God’s presence, asking for his protection over it and our home.

One of the most common ways to do this is through the traditional Epiphany blessing of the home. However, that is not the only way to invoke God’s blessing upon your home and door.

Below is an alternative prayer that can be prayed by anyone, simply asking God to shower his blessings upon the primary portal of your home.

God’s peace be to this home and to all who dwell within. You, O Lord, are the beginning and the end, the alpha and omega, carefully watching over us from birth until death. Bless this door of our house and in your goodness send your holy angel from heaven to watch over and protect us, to be with us and give us comfort and encouragement.

As we pass through this door, draw us more deeply into your presence and may a spirit of humility, goodness, mildness, and gratitude prevail here.

O Lord, you are the door to eternal life, bless our entrances and exits from this home and pour out on us heavenly dew in good measure, as well as an abundance of earthly needs. At our lowly coming be pleased to bless and sanctify this home, as you once were pleased to bless the home of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Within these walls let your angels of light preside and stand watch over those who live here.

May this blessing remain on this place and on us who live here now and always. Amen.

Litany of Humility

O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.

From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, Jesus....
From the desire of being loved, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being extolled, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being honored, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being praised, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being preferred to others, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being consulted, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being approved, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being humiliated, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being despised, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of suffering rebukes, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being calumniated, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being ridiculed, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being wronged, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being suspected, Deliver me, Jesus.

That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be esteemed more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That, in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I may decrease, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be chosen and I set aside, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be praised and I unnoticed, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be preferred to me in everything, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

About Litany of Humility Prayer

This prayer, Litany of Humility, was composed by Rafael Cardinal Merry del Val (1865-1930), Cardinal Secretary of State of the Holy See under Pope Saint Pius X. If you observe carefully at each line in this litany, you can see that they are asking for huge humility to that extreme that the world might think we are fools to pray such a prayer and might even call us incompetent. So for each Christian, it takes extreme guts to pray this Litany of Humility prayer. But I am sure you won’t find a better prayer for Humility than this one.
