Tankus in action!! Remember this one?!

Thank you to all the stage hands, lighting crew, bar teams, door people, ticket sellers, cleaners, sponsors, and everyone else who helped make this year's Spring Dance one to remember. Plus of course all you revellers for braving the freezing weather and turning out for a hot, hot night in the village hall! We raised over £2,600 for the next Christmas lights and Lights Parade!! We'll see you there, and in the meantime, here's Matt and Jess and Los Albertos to play us out...

We're getting the hall ready... and the bar!

The band are on their way! All the way from Brighton! They laugh in the face of the Beast from East and Storm Emma cos they know that the Blackdown Hillbillies are always up for a good time! When the going gets tough, the tough get partying!!!

Weather? What weather?! We're not downhearted or defeated. We got the beer in today, and we'll be setting up the stage and dressing up the hall tomorrow. It's all on folks, and we're going right ahead. See you there!

We're limbering up for the Lights Brigade Spring Dance with a few brave souls volunteering for cocktail tasting duties. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it!

Here's Matt doing what he does best! If you have your tickets, be sure to get there in time to see Matt, who'll be joined by the wonderful Jess of New Daze fame! And if you haven't got your tickets yet, get down to Hemyock Spar before they go. Quick!!

Hello Hemyock! Time to shake off those winter blues with the blast of entertainment and energy that is the Lights Brigade Spring Dance!! This year on March 3rd and featuring the brilliant Los Albertos coming all the way from the non-stop party town of Brighton to stomp up a storm.

We have Culmstock's finest - Matt and Jess - in support, and a well stocked bar, plus cocktails. Admission is by advance ticket only, and tickets will go fast, so get 'em while you can! Available from Spar from 27th January!

And now...River of Light: the movie! With thanks to Jenny Parsons for filming, the Blackdown and Uffculme School Samba Bands and the Primary School choir for providing the soundtrack, the lantern makers and lights putter-uppers for lighting it, the Young Farmers for topping and tailing it, the caterers for feeding and watering everyone, the castle and church for providing the backdrop, Tracey our community policeperson and the stewards for keeping it all in order, the sponsors for supporting it, and all the wonderful people of Hemyock for joining in and making it an evening to remember!
