Request to stay away from Motupipi Hill tracks for now:

Motupipi Hill

Please DO NOT ride Motupipi Hill tracks for a day or so after the rains we have just had. Phil and I will try to check the tracks soon, but have our own slip problems at home to deal with first.

Some access issues in Rameka area as a result of all that rain

Project Rameka Inc

FYI - the heavy rain has caused a slip on the Rameka Creek Road, below the old mill site where you can normally access the bridge at the bottom of Great Expecta...tions. This will be cleared soon, possibly done already. Access to the bottom of the Historic Rameka Track, across the creek near the totara tree carpark, is also a challenge at present.

No other word of damage to tracks etc - please share info if you've been in the area since last night.

This is not the Project Rameka bridge that was built in April. It is further down Rameka Creek, a structure that was built as a kind of 'clip on' to part of The Klicks track.

This up Rameka Creek, mtn bike trail still holding up but since I filmed this the creeks come up more. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some bank/track damage.

It's happened again! If you read our post from November 18th, you'll know what I mean. Once again, some very generous people, totally out of the blue, have paid for bikes on laybuy. As we said last time, it's an amazing random act of kindness from someone who just loves cycling. It's completely anonymous, no connection between the giver and receiver other than this great gift.

It's a privilege to share the great news with the purchasers. Makes you think about doing a few random acts of kindness (RAKs) yourself, doesn't it?! 😍

These three Golden Bay picture books all on sale at The Quiet Revolution Cycle Shop right now! Special deal: buy all three titles for $55 (normal cost is $20 per book).

If you can't call into the shop, message us to order and we can post for a small extra cost. Or order direct from the web site. Still time to get them to you in NZ before Xmas! 🌻🌻🌻
