I first joined Ahmed’s tour of the Saqqara pyramids. It turned out to be a life-changing experience, and I was hooked. Ahmed has a talent for the transmission of knowledge that is impossible to in words. One just has to experience it. His style is a unique mixture of in-depth knowledge of Egyptian history, astonishing use of language (puns, alliteration, etymology, Quran recitation, rhyme, you name it), and entertaining delivery that simply has no parallel. It has earned Ahmed a well-deserved, international reputation as one of the finest guides in Egypt. Ahmed is a big and incisive thinker, who forces people to see the connections between his specialty (Egyptology) and their own experience.

I subsequently joined several more of Ahmed’s tours, and engaged him when I returned to Egypt with family and friends. We kept in close touch, and after I left the Foreign Service and became an academic, I invited Ahmed to lecture at Pomona College, where I am on the Politics Faculty. He delivered a superb lecture on propaganda from Pharaonic to contemporary Egypt, captivating an audience of nearly one hundred students, faculty, and community members.

As a guide, historian, Egyptologist, linguist, innovator, and simply astonishing personality, Ahmed is truly irreplaceable. I recommend him without reservation.

I've been doing walking tours in many cities all over the world and dreaming of the day that we can have such quality tours in Egypt. Finally, we have found such a quality tour with Ahmed Seddik. I been to the Tahrir walking tour, where we were scrolling the streets around Tahrir, enjoying his interesting stories and funny topics and spending quality time togther. Ahmed is a multi-talented person with a lot of knowledge. He is also fluent in many languages, which adds to the quality of the tour. Just be prepared as the tour will be quite long :). I highly recommend Ahmed Seddik tours to anyone who wants to know more about this lovely city and who has some time 'liberated' for this purpose. See More

Ahmed Seddik is a fabulous guide. He can entertain a group of people of all ages and cultures simultaneously as they learn without even realizing how much they are taking in. His command of English is... astounding and surpasses the majority of native English speakers. He is a polyglot and chooses his words with great care and affection for the topic at hand. He is a wonderful young ambassador of his native Egypt which he obviously loves deeply. He is a scholar of all Egypt’s fascinating eras. No matter which tour you take with Seddik you will enjoy it and learn so much !!! See More

Ahmed led us on a fantastic 2 day tour of Cairo last week, and we could not have been more pleased. After several tour guides over the course of a week, Ahmed was by far the best. He is bursting with ...knowledge and enthusiasm, and is a lot of fun to be around. His extensive knowledge of both Modern and ancient world history (not just Egypt!), architecture, politics, languages, math, and science was astounding, he is truly like a walking encyclopedia. He also appears to be the most popular man in Cairo- everywhere we went, locals came up to shake his hand and say hello, attesting to his personableness. I cannot recommend him more highly. See More

We were lucky to have Ahmed Seddik as our guide in Cairo. Ahmed is an incredibly bright, well educated, enlightening eccentric who is passionate about his city, ancient Egyptian history, science and t...he world around him in general. Above all, perhaps, Ahmed loves words- English words, Spanish words, Arabic words, Italian words, all sorts of words. He collects them, polishes them, cherishes them, plays with them, delights in them, rhymes them, writes poetry with them, and uses them masterfully to elucidate, edify, educate & entertain. Weaving together sayings of Benjamin Franklin, recitations of Rumi's poetry, reading ancient hieroglyphs, etc. Ahmed graciously & captivatingly imparts some of his vast knowledge to those lucky enough to be on one of his tours. We spent almost a full day with Ahmed touring the pyramids of Giza. We were fortunate to have Ahmed as a private guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and a fantastic storyteller. He also knows there so we could walk in areas off limits to others and even go to one site where they are still digging and discovering. We were super pleased to spend the day with him at this exceptional location. See More

Ahmed is a very thoughtful and passionate tour guide who is able to relate to tourists from any part of the world. His tours are far better than anything you can find in a guide book and keep you very... entertained the entire time. The way he is able to weave poetry and rhymes into the history of Egypt is great and makes stories filled with dates and unique names very easy to follow along with. Also, he is very well connected, so you will get a better experience compared to just your average your guide. Everyone at all the historic sites seem to know him well and respect him. Great times with Ahmed in Egypt! See More

Went to the Maadi Tree walk yesterday and I never experienced a more entertaining tour guide as Ahmed is... full of knowledge related to Egyptian history and plants mingled with literature and poetry...... I understood why he called it "Walk the talk", because the talk was just as enjoyable as the walk plus his cheerful friendly attitude you just couldn't but really enjoy the trip. See More
