I first joined Ahmed’s tour of the Saqqara pyramids. It turned out to be a life-chang
ing experience , and I was hooked. Ahmed has a talent for the transmissi on of knowledge that is impossible to descri...be in words. One just has to experience it. His style is a unique mixture of in-depth knowledge of Egyptian history, astonishin g use of language (puns, alliterati on, etymology, Quran recitation , rhyme, you name it), and entertaini ng delivery that simply has no parallel. It has earned Ahmed a well-deser ved, internatio nal reputation as one of the finest guides in Egypt. Ahmed is a big and incisive thinker, who forces people to see the connection s between his specialty (Egyptolog y) and their own experience .
ly joined several more of Ahmed’s tours, and engaged him when I returned to Egypt with family and friends. We kept in close touch, and after I left the Foreign Service and became an academic, I invited Ahmed to lecture at Pomona College, where I am on the Politics Faculty. He delivered a superb lecture on propaganda from Pharaonic to contempora ry Egypt, captivatin g an audience of nearly one hundred students, faculty, and community members.
As a guide, historian,
Egyptologi st, linguist, innovator, and simply astonishin g personalit y, Ahmed is truly irreplacea ble. I recommend him without reservatio n.
As a guide, historian,
I've been doing walking tours in many cities all over the world and dreaming of the day that we can have such quality tours in Egypt. Finally, we have found such a quality tour with Ahmed Seddik. I ha...ve been to the Tahrir walking tour, where we were scrolling the streets around Tahrir, enjoying his interestin
g stories and funny topics and spending quality time togther. Ahmed is a multi-tale nted person with a lot of knowledge. He is also fluent in many languages, which adds to the quality of the tour. Just be prepared as the tour will be quite long :). I highly recommend Ahmed Seddik tours to anyone who wants to know more about this lovely city and who has some time 'liberated ' for this purpose.

Ahmed Seddik is a fabulous guide. He can entertain a group of people of all ages and cultures simultaneo
usly as they learn without even realizing how much they are taking in. His command of English is... astounding and surpasses the majority of native English speakers. He is a polyglot and chooses his words with great care and affection for the topic at hand. He is a wonderful young ambassador of his native Egypt which he obviously loves deeply. He is a scholar of all Egypt’s fascinatin g eras. No matter which tour you take with Seddik you will enjoy it and learn so much !!!

Ahmed led us on a fantastic 2 day tour of Cairo last week, and we could not have been more pleased. After several tour guides over the course of a week, Ahmed was by far the best. He is bursting with ...knowledge and enthusiasm
, and is a lot of fun to be around. His extensive knowledge of both Modern and ancient world history (not just Egypt!), architectu re, politics, languages, math, and science was astounding , he is truly like a walking encycloped ia. He also appears to be the most popular man in Cairo- everywhere we went, locals came up to shake his hand and say hello, attesting to his personable ness. I cannot recommend him more highly.
We were lucky to have Ahmed Seddik as our guide in Cairo. Ahmed is an incredibly
bright, well educated, enlighteni ng eccentric who is passionate about his city, ancient Egyptian history, science and t...he world around him in general. Above all, perhaps, Ahmed loves words- English words, Spanish words, Arabic words, Italian words, all sorts of words. He collects them, polishes them, cherishes them, plays with them, delights in them, rhymes them, writes poetry with them, and uses them masterfull y to elucidate, edify, educate & entertain. Weaving together sayings of Benjamin Franklin, recitation s of Rumi's poetry, reading ancient hieroglyph s, etc. Ahmed graciously & captivatin gly imparts some of his vast knowledge to those lucky enough to be on one of his tours.
What a great morning! We did a private tour with about 15 women going through the Kahn. He was full of fascinatin
g informatio n! It is the first tour I have been on where everyone was paying attenti...on and listening, a difficult task with a bunch of women who are good friends. He is a great historian overflowin g with interestin g informatio n and has a fun sense of humor. If you are looking for a guide I highly recommend Ahmed Seddik.
We spent almost a full day with Ahmed touring the pyramids of Giza. We were fortunate to have Ahmed as a private guide. He was incredibly
knowledgea ble and a fantastic storytelle r. He also knows every...one there so we could walk in areas off limits to others and even go to one site where they are still digging and discoverin g. We were super pleased to spend the day with him at this exceptiona l location.
Ahmed is a very thoughtful
and passionate tour guide who is able to relate to tourists from any part of the world. His tours are far better than anything you can find in a guide book and keep you very... entertaine d the entire time. The way he is able to weave poetry and rhymes into the history of Egypt is great and makes stories filled with dates and unique names very easy to follow along with. Also, he is very well connected, so you will get a better experience compared to just your average your guide. Everyone at all the historic sites seem to know him well and respect him. Great times with Ahmed in Egypt!
Cairo Guide set me up with a wonderful guide Called Nora, she was excellent.
She came to pick me up at my hotel and she took care of everything for me. She was very passionate about everything related... to Egypt's long history, and she made every story interestin g. Thank you Cairo Guide and Nora!
I had a chance to attend Ahmed Seddik's talk about Egyptian archaeolog
y at Boston University . He was such a delightful speaker to listen to and always full of positive energy. He is an optimist with a... great outlook in life. He is so knowledgea ble and passionate about what he does. Above all, he is an amazing teacher. The audience was definitely blown away with his lecture, and all the teachers and students were so impressed with his thorough explanatio ns to every question.
Ahmed Seddik is as great as King Cheops. His outstandin
g oration is worthy of a standing ovation. Seddik guides royal families and Hollywood stars. His linguistic prowess is like magic. Seddik narrati...ve is highly entertaini ng and enriching. Seddik stantds at the summit of the art of tour guiding in the field of Egyptology .

Went to the Maadi Tree walk yesterday and I never experience
d a more entertaini ng tour guide as Ahmed is... full of knowledge related to Egyptian history and plants mingled with literature and poetry...... I understood why he called it "Walk the talk", because the talk was just as enjoyable as the walk plus his cheerful friendly attitude you just couldn't but really enjoy the trip.
What a fabulous tour of Downtown Cairo! Our energetic tour guide, Seddik, has an eclectic knowledge of history, architectu

So, I met this really cool guy named Ahmed while studying in Egypt years ago. You’ve probably seen him in travel or history documentar
ies or in an episode of (my fav) An Idiot Abroad. He makes Egyptia...n history so memorable and interestin g with his unique storytelli ng ability. I HIGHLY recommend going on one of his tours if you ever venture to the beautiful country of Egypt!
There can be no better excursion than with Ahmed Sedik. He is so knowledgea
