Beautiful Hotel/ comfy beds..... but wasn’t pleased with stay... Communication with guest is a must, and it was non existent. When speaking with front desk about our issues, they had the attitude as i...f.....”oh well”.
We switched to this hotel due to the previous hotel having pool issues. They had the decency to call us and tell us of an issue. We switched to CH, requesting room by pool. Get here, check in nothing mentioned that they closed the pool. Went to swim it’s closed. Stinks when that’s why we came here with kids.
Courtesy info was given to all guest who paid for the NYE package. Nothing for those who didn’t reserve a room with the package. We were doubled charged for our room. Showed them on our bank account. They weren’t at all as concerned as we were. After All this, we asked to have later check out like the rest of the guest here for NYE. They weren’t interested in allowing that. Our room needed to be cleaned better. Have pictures of very dirty glasses. We had a half roll of toilet paper. Really stinks when you pay over $200 a night and the stay was less than satisfactory .

Stayed for Beta state convention with 26 kids and their parents. The hotel seemed very uncomfortable with having the kids in their hotel. 1 of the 8 rooms had such a terrible smell that the kids had t...o be moved to a new room. The breakfast they provided us for free was barely a continental breakfast. Kids left in the morning starving since none of them cared for bagels or frosted wheat. See More

Stayed here for one night, went home chewed up by bed bugs! I tried multiple times to get the GM, never could, left messages and never got a call back. Talked to one lady there who stated that it coul...d have been flea bites! Do not stay here. See More

I enjoyed my stay here. Very friendly staff and very comfortable bed! Only complaint I have is that the TV remote didn’t work right and even after someone in housekeeping showed us how to work it we s...till had problems with it. But other than that I would highly recommend this hotel. See More

I was recently in Kentucky this weekend for the homecoming game through all the hotels were sold out we managed to book a room at 1 Hotel that has stink bugs crawling around we booked another room tha...t had the exact same problem finally were able to get a room at the Campbell house though it wasn't my first pick I'm glad we stayed here thought there was a little confusion with Susan the lady at the front desk who has a very nonchalant attitude with all the gifts so I didn't take it personally but there was one young lady the worked in the housekeeping Department... Mrs Mykala was phenomenal the complete opposite of Susan she was very warm friendly helpful took your every issue that we had I would definitely come back to this hotel because of the service that she displayed. Thanks you Mykala for making all weekend great. The Campbell house definitely need more employees like her See More

I'm an avid business and leisure traveler with at least a few hundred hotel stays under my belt. I booked 3 nights at the Campbell House for something new on a recent business trip to Lexington. My clients had concerns about me staying there as it is 'not in the best area', but I noted a Starbucks was 0.5 miles away and the photos on the website were incredible (I loved the decor) so I decided to take a chance.

As advertised, the front porch and lobby were beautiful but for me that's where it stopped. The hotel has a unique layout and long corridors lined with guest rooms. I found the hallways to be extremely creepy, dimly lit, damp, and very dirty feeling. At this point my mind went to Hilton brand standards and wondered if they've visited this property recently?

Upon entering my guest room it was extremely dark. The furniture in the rooms did match what was advertised in the photos but the room itself had a dirty feeling once again. I did my usual hotel inspection (can never be too careful in looking for bedbugs). No bedbugs, but stains all over the white sheets - gross!

I went right back downstairs to request a different room and change my reservation to check out the following day. To be fair, the front desk employee was very professional, friendly, and concerned. My new room was better but I do not have plans to return back to the Campbell House. I did not try any of the onsite amenities.

I can see the appeal of having a social event in a historic hotel - but would not recommend for business travel.

As a Hilton Diamond member not very impressed with this Curio Collection.
#hilton.....clean room but upgrades made to this very old hotel unimpressive in my view. Doubt if I book here again while in ...the Lexington area. See More

I have been staying at the Campbell House Inn since 1970. Loved seeing old and new faces.
Gift shop was as lovely as ever well stocked with anything you could want horsey.
I did not care for the remolded dinning room. Secretariats picture was gone! Food on breakfast buffet was cold and not worth the money.

Room was clean and comfortable. Noise in hall was out of control.
But I will be back....It's a tradition!

I've loved this hotel for a long time, but the tasteful upgrades made as it was brought into the Hilton family of hotels made it an easy choice for our Lexington wedding weekend. We were greeted exper...tly and our room was upgraded to the Sir Barton Suite, which we adored. The best part was our post-wedding dinner, champagne and cake at Kilburn's upon arrival. Jessica took such great care making sure everything was perfect for our first dinner as a married couple! The next day, she even brought us a vintage mug from the hotel to commemorate the stay together. This hotel honestly made us feel like we were one of their only guests. I've been floored by all the personal touches and charming, accommodating atmosphere. Highly recommend... See More

The outside of the hotel is beautiful. The lobby is nice as well. Bed was comfortable. The hotel was centrally located with easy access to most things. However, the room felt small and had minimal ame...nities (no fridge). The bathroom was tiny, with minimal counter space. Our A/C was ok, but never got super super cold. Staff was ok, but didn't blow us away. I can't comment on the food quality because we didn't eat there-it was very pricey. Not sure if we would stay there again or not. See More

The room was nice and the beds are super comfortable, but the color scheme is too dark inside. We were supposed to have a handicap room and had to drag our luggage up 10 steps to get to it. They nee...d some real changes to call a room handicap. This one only has one accommodation; the shower. For the price, they can do better! See More

PRO TIP: Some of these reviews are super old. This hotel has been completely revamped and renovated and is now one of the nicest places to stay in Lexington.

Here's why: ...
- Indoor warm water pool (I believe it's one of the largest in the country?)
- Great bar with live music and dancing
- Onsite restaurant
- Incredible decor
- Regal outdoor patio out front, free coffee - it's cathartic!
- Large rooms with modern decor, yet still insanely comfortable

If you know me you know I'm an adventurer. I don't really like to do anything twice, because I love trying new places. I think the Campbell House is one of my only exceptions. I've stayed here three times now - one time including my bachelorette weekend!

Each time has been incredible, but specifically for my big weekend - they let us check in early at 10am - gave us adjoining rooms with additional seating in each room. It was perfect for games, and all of us getting ready. I could not believe how big and beautiful these rooms were.

We took some bottles of champagne down to the pool and swam for a few hours that morning and it absolutely made my weekend.

Some other pro tips:
- It's a Hilton Curio Hotel which mean's it's a historically renovated boutique hotel. It's accents are all it's own. Custom and beautiful. There is not cookie cutter feeling here like other hotels.
- It's almost always on Hotel Tonight - download the app and score this hotel for as little at $100 bucks a night!
- It's only about 1.5 miles away from the city, a quick uber ride or in our case the hotel van dropped us off downtown which was so nice!

The Campbell House feels like home to me, and I will continue to come back here time and time again. Thank you for making my weekend so special!

Rooms are small and dark with poor lighting and dreary dark grey walls and doors. Huge maze of identical hallways with no signage. Big disappointment. Only one chair in our room so one of us had no ch...oice but to sit on the bed. No microwave and no refrigerator.

We requested a fridge and we're told they had none available at check-in. The clerk wrote our name and room number down for the next available refrigerator but as of the next afternoon we still didn't get one. I went to the desk again and finally got a beat up, badly scratched old refrigerator that didn't work! When I told the older, blonde lady at the desk, she couldn't have cared less and never apologized for the inconvenience or offered to make it right.

We left Saturday morning at 9:45 and returned after 4 pm to find much to our disgust that our room had never been touched by the maid, just skipped over. When I told the manager, Nathan, he was argumentative and tried to blame us, insinuating that we had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door which we did NOT. We had to wait in the lobby for half an hour while our room was cleaned and no one at the front desk ever bothered to check on it for us and let us know. I had to make three trips upstairs to see if the maid was finished with our room.

The small bathroom had a large chunk of porcelain broken out of the tub. The window was filthy with mildew so much so that it obstructed our view. This horrible place is right across the street from a hospital so we constantly heard wailing sirens day and night. We are shocked this poor excuse for a hotel is a Hilton brand and completely disgusted by our bad experience with the Campbell House. It's a big disappointment and we will never stay here again! In addition, it makes us seriously question if we will ever stay at another Hilton again!

We recently attended an event here but didn't spend the night. I worked next door at the country club in HS so I'd been in the hotel many times, but not in the last 15 years. It looks like they have... definitely upgraded in most areas, but it still has a dingy feel to it. I'm also very used to new and modern accomodations, so i may be a hotel snob. The food service at the event was very slow. Food was running out and they took quite a while to replace it. Servers were removing plates from in front of people while they still had forks in hand. I believe this is all due to the temp service working the event. After we left we discovered that my daughter had left her phone on the table. I was sure someone would have taken it. When we returned to the ballroom we found the room had been cleared, but ran into Carla from housekeeping. She made it her mission to find that phone and after searching several areas and asking around she finally located it. Unfortunately, i didn't have my purse or her hospitality would have earned her a generous tip. Instead, my daughter thanked her with a big hug. It's people like Carla going above and beyond that make places like this great. Ditch the temp service and hire more people like Carla! See More

I can't speak highly enough about this hotel and it's staff! My 14 year old daughter and I stayed there recently for 3 nights as we had travelled from Michigan, so that she could have shoulder surgery... nearby. We chose this location as it was very close to the clinic, but not having any transportation meant relying on shuttle service for appointments. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of and we truly appreciated it! The room was very clean and comfortable and met all of our needs for our stay. The breakfast and dinners that we ate were delicious too. We very much enjoyed the southern hospitality! See More

There was a hair in my bed when I pulled the sheets down, it grossed me out but we just cleaned it and didn't say anything though I know i should've. The shower was great and the hotel beautiful alth...ough the pool was closed the entire weekend I stayed :(. My biggest issues was they had just changed their POS system. It charged my card a couple hundred dollars extra both nights we stayed. I was on a mini vacation and although the issue was resolved about five days after I got home it really sucked because I had absolutely no spending money because they kept pulling money out of my bank account. See More

The renovations continue to be amazing at this place. The enhancements have not taken away from the historical value - it still has a very historic feeling but also has a very clean style that gives a newer, updated feel. The staff are outgoing and super friendly - definitely a great place to host a wedding, event, or stay for business/pleasure! See More

Our favorite hotel on our 15-state-trip. That goes for all 3 generations ages 5-77. The rooms were spacious and lovely with equestrian decor. We enjoyed the pretty indoor pool, the restaurant, and th...e staff was friendly and helpful. It was fun to skip the run of the mill chains and enjoy this fine hotel. The mattresses were the best ever. The breakfast buffet was delicious. See More
