Hey, Hey Clifton!! Let's show our support and bring the #smallbusinessrevolution to #mytexas & #mybastrop!!

The City of Bastrop is the only Texas city in a national competition to be the one small community to receive a “main street” makeover including a $500,000 investment into local small businesses and featured on a nationally televised program called Small Business Revolution – Main Street. (You can visit and view a show from a previous s...eason - there are some truly amazing stories about small businesses and what they're able to accomplish with the support of the team.)

Here's how YOU can help: Bastrop made the top 10 and they will find out on February 13 if they made the cut to the top 5. Between now and then you can show your support by posting on your social media channels and using the hashtags #smallbusinessrevolution #mybastrop and #mytexas. Share your favorite story about Bastrop or your own community and add your hashtag to your post.

If they make the top 5 then the whole state will need to vote daily to insure that Texas brings home the big prize....and we all know that Texas deserves it!

A close second is Lonesome Dove, and my friends down in Clifton, Texas, ...are showing it next week in the town’s historic movie theatre, CLIFTEX Theatre. I’m all over this. Me, Cpt. Augustus McCrae and movie popcorn? Yes. Please. #liveonpurpose

Mother Nature doesn't look like she's going to work with us this evening so we have decided to move the Trick or Treat with Main Street to the Armory in the City Park...

Trick or Treating begins at 6 pm and goes until 8 pm or until the candy is all gone!

Brookshire's will be on hand hosting their costume contest at 7 pm!

Don't forget many of the other businesses that are also offering treats this evening at their locations, Lutheran Sunset Ministries, Chicken Express, Clifton Nursing and Rehab and others!

Attention Trick or Treaters!!!

We've been asked what Plan B is for tomorrow nights Trick or Treat with Main Street, if it is raining.....

We've been in contact with the Bosque County Emergency Management office who is keeping us updated on the weather. At this time Trick or Treat with Main Street will continue on as planned....

IF it is pouring rain at 5 pm, we will move to the Armory in the City Park for those who want to participate. We will make notifications on the City's Facebook Page if that call is made.

Again, we are planning to go on as originally planned in downtown.

Remember trick or treat begins at 6 pm, and the Brookshire's costume contest is at 7 pm in the intersection of Ave D and 3rd Street!
