With so much competition in the area, to stay in operation you need to be on top of your game. This was my first time at The Daily, so I'm trying to be fair and... objective. It was steady, not too busy for a Saturday night. The service was okay. We didn't have to wait(okay, good) for our uninteresting server(.....)
The food came out in good time. It looked decent. Between the four of us, the 9dollar veggie burger my brother had was the same as the one you get anywhere else for 6. My wife and sister had average tacos with an above average 16 dollar price tag. My mahi was, okay. The asparagus, okay. The sauces, okay. The potatoes, were undercooked to raw. I've paid the same amount for food throughout Carytown and am usually much more satisfied.

We remarked about how interesting and enjoyable our lunch at zzaam was. TD wasn't bad. It wasn't very good either. Even the name connotes an unnecessary image of human reality. Excuse me, my daily is calling.. عرض المزيد

I have celiac disease and have to eat gluten free, I've been here twice now and they haven't made me sick at all. My favorite dish is the gluten free calamari. ...What I love mostly about the Daily is that they don't over salt their dishes.what you order is what you taste and the flavors are authentic and lovely. My husband doesn't have to eat gluten free and he ate the crab cake sandwich and raved about the flavors! The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. The atmosphere is hip,clean and modern. It's a great place for all groups and all palates. The flavor combinations are divine! We will be back! عرض المزيد

Terrific experience here! Nice restaurant, clean and friendly service. Fast service at the bar. Awesome menu options. I selected the Fig and Pig pizza which... was outstanding! Perfectly cooked. The Happy Hour special with $3 drafts is a great deal. I ordered a friend a goat cheese and fig salad and she said it was delicious, also. Definitely a great spot for healthier eating options. A great solo spot for dinner at the bar, a girls' night out and/or family meal. Can't wait to go back! عرض المزيد

I live in the neighborhood and I love going to this place. I have been with large groups for dinner and I have met friends at the bar. I usually never write r...eviews but this restaurant is so professional. I was overcharged last weekend (by accident) and I sent an email to the GM. Jimmy kept in constant contact with me this past week so that we could figure out what happened and fix the issue. I was so impressed by this. I am from another state and visited The Daily with a local friend for breakfast. We sat for 15 minutes waiting for our waitress to come to the table, which was ...a bit odd considering there were only two tables occupied when we arrived. The rest of the restaurant was empty. She was pleasant but not willing to engage in more than asking what we wanted. The food was delicious and very satisfying. We had to wait a long time before we could ask for our check - she seemed to disappear. Other than the service, it is a nice place to eat. عرض المزيد

We give this place a Solid 3. Service was good and it was a really good vibe from the start. It was nice to find a place that had some healthy choices. The only... criticism would be the calamari wasn't the best. Overall our experience was a good one. Definitely plan on going back for another visit. عرض المزيد

Three of us for late lunch. Noodle bowl was a bit under-seasoned. However, stir fry bowl and tofu barbecue sandwich were great. Sweet potato fries were wonderful as were the crispy brussel sprouts. Highly recommend.

Great ambiance, Delicious food and Fabulous service. With a family sensitive to several foods, it is comforting to have a place where the staff actually understands the importance for knowing the ingredients in all their menu items.

We went for dinner on 11/26/16. Overall pretty good! Only complaint would be our experience at the bar while we were waiting for our table. Our server (not the ...bartender) seemed like she was either very quiet/introverted or just plain not interested in serving anyone. I couldn't hear ANYTHING she said because she spoke so softly, and looked annoyed that I kept saying, "What?" Bartender seemed nonchalant and uninterested, though I will say the drinks were great and I wanted to try everything! Once we got to the table, our dinner server was knowledgeable, pleasant, and personable. Crab stack was uninteresting and bland, as was my husband's stir fry dinner. My Angus steak with chimichurri, however, was AMAZING. We come to Richmond a few times a year and Carytown is a favorite of mine, so overall, I'm happy to have discovered this upscale restaurant in a great location that caters to our paleo-esque lifestyle. I'll definitely be back, and will try a few different menu items, and I'll hope that the bar service gets better and they up the ante on the flavor profiles in the appetizers and entrees. عرض المزيد

Met with friends for breakfast one morning and ordered the steel cut oatmeal and pumpkin muffin for my son. Server was prompt, professional and very engaging wi...th my active 4 year old. We came again for brunch after church and enjoyed our meal as well. The only complaints that my family and friends had were that there were no dinner menu items available, only brunch. They were expecting dinner items as it was almost 3pm when we arrived. Nevertheless, the food was great, the server was also and the price point was decent. EVERYTHING was fabulous. I ordered a veggie burger and it was BY FAR the best thing I've ever put in my mouth!!! My daughter had a turkey burger and it was also delicious. Every time I go to RVA, this will be my go-to place to eat!

I loved this place, seemed to be very popular, the calamari is off the hook. The bartender did an impeccable job on our drinks. Very busy for happy hour and w...as great atmosphere. My only complaint. ..too many flies.... we sat inside and I think the patio are should have some type of roll down screens like curtains to minimize the issue. عرض المزيد

Amazing gluten free options. Loved the fried oysters. The place was crazy crowded on a weekend night so loud but fun. Parking was an issue due to an event at the Byrd. Staff was very capable and prompt.

Took my mother for lunch yesterday! Mixed drinks were on point. Food was good as always! I can't go here without ordering the Brussels, as I finally worked up ...the courage to find out what the sweetness was on them. Inspired the dessert I made for the wine tasting tonight. My monthly foodie group all loved their meals. We coincided with Restaurant Week. The bruschetta with goat cheese, fig and arugula was very delish and my hangar... steak had just the right amount of zing. The desserts were hard to choose so we got both offered. We were trying to decide where to go for dinner Friday night. One of my friends who loves this place and celebrated her birthday here suggested The Daily Kitche...n and Bar. This was my first time. The atmosphere, weather and food was terrific. The waitress told us her name unfortunately I don't remember (she was good). Lot's to choose from on the menu I went to my go to food when overwhelmed. Really enjoyed my arugula, beet and fig salad topped with beef. My husband said his fish tacos were good, but skimped on the mahi. Disappointed that our server didn't refill the water glasses. That's wait staff 101.
