Since arriving in Nepal in August, I am an avid reader of the Himalayan. However, I find that the paper is lacking an event calendar like those offered in Nepali papers. Too often I see a picture or a...n article about an event that happened a few days ago. Recent examples include the Pokhara street festival as well as the Elephant festival in Chitwan. Makes me want to attend these events, but how do I know they are taking place? I wish the paper would follow its Nepali competition and produce an event calendar even if just once a month. See More

In the wake of national tragedythis might seem insensitive but could you ask your "daily horoscope" department to be consistent with their online update? Some of us have to leave at 8, leaving only an... hour window between 7 (the time of update) to 8 to catch up on news. Maybe this sudden decision to stop posting anything after "9 March" is just a strategy to boost your newspaper sales but e-news is a lot more convenient. Since last week there's been a decline in the routine of your daily e-news page update. Starting from late updates, skipped dates to just plain abandonment. I'm not an aatrologer myself but to everyone responsible for updating the horoscopes portion of the e-news, regardless of your horoscope, here's a prediction for "This week": Get it together.

Thank you.

There is this general lack of contact information to correspond to when it comes to Nepali newspapers including THT. In this fast age of email and messenger, THT does not have appropriate contact info...rmation to send articles to be published in different sections in THT. Also even this Facebook page does not have the Messenger feature enabled. Why? Don't you hire enough people in your company? See More

excellent in so far as freedom of expression is concerned. Election - a power given to the citizen of the nation.Due to illiteracy and lack of political knowledge, more often than not it is misused by... clever and cunning

People do not realise that voters hand over the key of the Treadury of the nation to those leaders to manage it. But what do they do ? People don't realise that every citizen of the nation have contributed in creating the nation's Treasury. For every consumer item purchased almost 50% goes as tax to the nation's exchequer. There are so many other means through which people pay taxes. When will the people realise that choosing leaders means entrusting the leaders to manage the hard earned money of the nation.Million dollar question is - do the elected leaders MANAGE the fund PROPERLY?

Himalayan times is one of the most powerful news agency in Nepal. As being from the lost tribes of Nepal i.e chepang community, I would like to request the entire Team Himalayan news agency to focus o...n Chepang, Raute as well others back warded community as an unemployment and child marriage is increasing day by day. Because of illiterate and ignorance, the death of maternal and child rate is increasing in such tribal group. Also due to lack of proper health facilities and education the death rate is increasing simultaneously. lack of employment opportunities , the poverty is increasing day by day. As being an influential news Agency, It would be great pleasure for me if Himalayan times could raise the voice of voiceless to Government of Nepal of such indigenous tribal of Nepal. See More

The devastating inundation this nation has been experiencing of late from the seemingly unabating downpour, is but only temporary despite the havoc n catastrophe of astronomical proportions with dail...y death toll updates climbing steadily up.

Contrarily, it is the inevitable long n gruesome aftermath even the rumination of which cringes my soul given the inept administration, the polluted politics and the bungling bureaucrats.

The road to restoration indeed appears very much excruciating if not downright dismal. With the existence of ever increasing number of gaping mouths ever so paramount in the government sector, even the philanthropic benevolence bestowed is expected to dissappear into the incessant hunger hole!

Such the case, least can be expected from Nation's side. Hence it calls for spontaneous and voluntary contribution from all spheres as in the past times of the fateful earthquake the capital was hit with back in April 2015.

How is it even possible that in this day and age there are articles like "Same-sex marriage: Not natural"? Has the author even dealt with the fact that it's scientifically proven that there are severa...l different animal species where homosexuality occurs (penguins being the most famous one)?

Look, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. But there is a reason why gay Nepali men and women are literally scared to death to come out and and live their lives. And discriminating stone age articles such as these do not help. Shame on you.

"Same-sex marriage: Not natural"
Disgusted by your article.
Nepali people are some of the nicest and most welcoming people in the world. What makes Nepal so great is the warmth of the people. This is ...hate speech. You could instead promote real Nepali values, such as embracing diversity, living peacefully, community support, protecting nature, working towards a stronger and more progressive country. See More

I have been a reader of this daily since a long time ,, however I have not been receiving the daily newspaper at home for the last 10 days ,, I called the person who got my subscription 2 months ago ,..., he is out of the valley due to family emergency which is absolutely fine ,, the person who received the call said that the guy who was supposed to deliver the paper at my place also left the job. My concern is that if the person left the job there should be someone else to deliver it without any doubts . No one even tried to call us and inform about why the paper was not being delivered . The fact is customers are treated with so much disrespect & carelessness . I have been purchasing the paper from a shop near by even when I have a yearly subscription See More

3/9/2015 THT Travel & Lifestyle page 2 had an article "American Dream". Background image shows a shining city of Taipei just before sun down. What kind of rubbish is this? Who's the editor of THT? Thi...s is not the first time with THT negligence. Couple of weeks ago there was same image printed for two days for war in Syria and Pakistani bombing news. Some one has to point out your errors so you can make improvements. If you just ignore this we will assume that editors in THT chooses to eat shit! See More
