I echo previous sentiments. Hijjas Kasturi’s (dubbed the father of modern Malaysian architecture) Th...e Kasturi is one the few locally run places that delivers on most fronts- excellent design, great ambience & above all, fantastic staff (the security & maintenance guys included!) They’re still in the midst of finishing off the development; phase 2 is WIP & when completed, a full array of activities will be available (including their own turtle sanctuary!) Unfortunately this meant we couldn’t try out the bar! The food is good & fairly priced & an added fun challenge is getting the 2 in house dogs to overcome their shyness & aloofness. I suppose if there are any critiques they’re relatively minor- ants & bugs abound but then it is in a jungle setting after all. A worry beyond their control is the erosion of the beach which they’re working to reinforce & I hope once completed will prove adequate but ultimately the neighbouring developments will also hv to do their bit or it’ll be a losing battle against Mother Nature. Overall the Kasturi is probably the best option available in all of Cherating & definitely worth repeat visits. Afficher la suite
