Thank you to all of our loyal customers. I have been down all hunting season with a broken tailbone and never really recovered from it. Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with Lupus and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. We have had a really rough year in the processing plant due to lack of help. We went through 9 employees this year. People want a paycheck, but they don't want to work. Thomas had a problem today where his blood pressure went sky high and he developed a sever...e headache which was leading him near another stroke, and I had to give him a pill that drops his blood pressure really fast and knocks him out. In case you didn't know, Thomas has already suffered two strokes in the past. Also, our cooler is completely full. I posted a notice tonight that we are no longer accepting any more deer or hogs. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will get what is still here done, but we have decided to close our processing business after this hunting season due to our health issues. Thanks to all of you. our great customers, who are helping make our 2017 season such a success! We are continuing to take deer and hogs. We have been told by the USDA inspector that we are processing more hogs than any of his custom licensed facilities in the 12 county district he oversees. Thanks to ya'll for helping us do that for the 3rd year in a row...

We had an awesome year of deer and hog processing thanks to our customers for your support and business and the word of mouth advertising that sent us many new customers. You all are the best group of people we could ever serve. Just a reminder that we process both hogs and deer killed on permits all year. (We must have a copy of the permit with the hunters name on it for any deer killed out of season) Any hunters not wanting the meat from animals killed can bring it to u...s to process and donate to local food banks and food charities at no charge to the hunter. Please make sure to call and make sure we are home in advance of killing animals out of season as we enjoy our camper and plan to use it quite a bit this coming spring, summer and early fall. We had awesome employees this year with Ms. Pat (15+ years wild game processing experience) and her family(each with 10+ years of wild game processing experience) doing much of the processing and with Thomas supervising, visiting with customers and wrapping and inspecting the meat as part of our quality control program. Thank you to all of our loyal customers who have helped make our 2014 processing season the best ever! We have truly been blessed with a very prosperous season. We wish to all of you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, happy New Year filled with good health, good times and good memories!

These pics are the booth we had last weekend at the Andersonville Historic Fair. We had a fun and profitable weekend and look forward to going back there next year. The people of Andersonville are so kind and work really hard to make the Fair a success.

We now offer honeybee extraction. Call us if you need our services to remove those unwanted bees from your home, rental or business. We relocate the bees to our farm or a surrounding one so that they continue to provide the important pollination of our fruits and veggies and the crops for the surrounding farmers. I just spoke with the IT guy who is helping me set up our online store for The Little Chicken Ranch. We will sell many of the produce items we grow for local delivery in addition to other produce and products make by local people and sold at the farmer's markets. The produce can't be shipped, but many of the local products can be. Hopefully, the store will be up and running by next weekend. Updates to follow.. This is a big step for Thomas and I.

We will be spending time with family on Christmas Eve from 1 PM to 6 PM and Christmas Day from 10:30 till 5 PM. Feel free to contact us via Thomas' cell phone (912-425-1595) should you need to reach us. Our neighbor next door, Fred, will be home if you need help also. You may also drop off your deer or hogs for processing while we are gone. The tags will be on the stool in a blue container and the totes and ice are on the cleaning porch. Put the animal in the cooler and we will call you about your processing preferences on Thursday. Please call us if your animal needs cleaning so that we can take care of it ASAP. Our first big strawberry is turning red. Thomas and I check it each morning to see if it has turned enough to enjoy. I will try and remember to take a pic tomorrow. Nice to have berries growing in the greenhouse this time of year. We have small red grape tomatoes on the vines as well. Thomas put up another hoop house today and we moved the eggplants and pepper plants in there. We hope to revive them to producing again.

I forgot to add that we will clean and package ribs, backstraps and tenderloins if you want them back whole. The sausage is offered in links or bulk for the same cost.

Meat Processing Prices:

Deer and Hog

Cleaning- $25...
Cubed, Roasts, Stew Meat, Burger, Sliced Jerky- $1.50 a pound (processed weight)

Sausage, Italian Burger- $2.00 a pound (processed weight)

Processed weight means weight after packaging. To us, this is the fairest way to charge as you pay for what you get.

We are working on adding finished jerky, meat loaf, pepper cheese sausage, summer sausage and smoked sausage, but these products are not fully tried and tested nor do we have the proper licensing to offer them as there are strict state regulations on most of them. Plan for these for next season!
