On May 6th, 2017 I had a double Court of Honor with my Troop 87 to celebrate my earning rank of Eagle Scout on October 24, 2016 and with my Venturing Crew 4385 to celebrate earning the first Venturing Summit Award in the council and crew on April 11, 2017.
Thanks to all who supported me and encouraged me along the trail to Eagle and now Summit!
It has been a very humbling two weeks. Last week, I received a call that my Eagle Scout Project - "The Field of Dreams at the VFW" was selected as the Washington Crossing Council (Adams) Service Project of the Year (2017) Award. Today, I received a letter from the Grand Lodge Free and Acceptable Masons of the State of New Jersey selecting me as Scout of the Year 2017.
On October 24, 2016, I earned the rank of Eagle Scout for my project the "Field of Dreams" at the VFW. On Friday, November 11th, 2016, the VFW 491 (9 Fisher Place, Yardville, NJ) will dedicate it to the men and women who have served for our country after the 11 am Veteran's Day Ceremony. Please joins us to remember the veterans and all they have done for our country.
Please join me at the VFW 491 to work on my Eagle Scout Project. We will be working on stretching the fence and placing the backstop in place.
I will be having another work session on Saturday, August 27th at the VFW 491- 9 Fisher Place, Yardville, NJ from noon to 6 pm. We will be putting the backstop kit together and linking the fence to the poles. If you have battery power screw drivers this will be extremely helpful for the job at hand.
If you can make the whole session we understand. We would like to break in shifts from 12-3 and 3-6 to give people a chance to enjoy their afternoons but also have an opportunity to help.
Again thank you for helping me, my project and the VFW 491 Yardville.
Thank you to everyone that "popped" over to help with my Eagle Scout Project work session. Today, we dug the holes and filled most of them with the poles for the backstop and fencing for the baseball field located at VFW 491. A very special thanks and shout out to SFC Curry, SGT Tinsley D, SGT Santos, ENZ Derek, and Master SGT Palma (all from the NJ National Guard) for coming and using the auger to dig all the holes needed!
I am off traveling with members of my Crew 4385 and Troop 87 for a week at Sea Base. When we get back, I will be working on my Eagle Scout Project - "The Field of Dreams" a baseball practice field at the VFW 491-9 Fisher Place, Yardville, NJ. I could use all the help I can get to set the 23 poles for the backstop and adding the fencing. We will have a work session on Saturday, August 20th from 9 am - 3 pm. Then we will have 2 days of work sessions on August 27 from noon -6 pm and August 28 noon - 6pm. The hope is to finish the backstop on August 28th and have play a game on the new field and celebration picnic. If you have questions or interested in helping, please contact my mom Carla Kelly Fisher or email me email@example.com.
