Lovely smaller venue to be up close and personal to the act playing. Toilets were rather horrid though in the ladies, 2 of the doors didn't shut and one was leaking all over the floor. smelled strong ...of bleach & not in a nice way.
However I would go back. drink prices were good female bouncer on the door was very grumpy.

Great venue for live performances and social meeting place. Thanks for 25 years of great music, here's to the next 25 years.

Now attending my second comedy night at The Wedgewood Rooms. The first one was a Wednesday competiton with lots of acts, tonight is only 3 comedians with longer sets. Really not impressed with how muc...h time we have spent sitting around though (especially compared to the first comedy show here) doors opened at 7.30, we waited an hour and a half for the show to actually start, the MC even mentioned how little energy the audience had, yeah, because we had waited so long! After the first act we are now into yet more time waiting around.. been at least 15 minutes and still waiting for the next act. We are anticipating another interval after the next act aswell. For a comedy night, it doesn't do the comedians any favours to have the audience sat waiting for so long for it to start and between acts.. we totally lose any energy we build up during the sets. Please can you rethink your structure and make it feel like more of a packed out night. By the end of the night I am estimating we would have spent 2-2.5hrs sat waiting and less time actually enjoying comedy. Wednesday was much better. See More

I love the Wedgewood rooms, I've been coming here to watch music for many many years, I love the intimacy with the the band/singer, always able to get into a position with a good view, the atmosphere... has always been good (that must be about the people who like the same music as me). Plenty of places to get a meal or drink before or after the gig. Personally I prefer the Wedge to the Pyramids, I find the Pyramids to cold and impersonal, give me the Wedge any day. See More

not a bad venue for music the rest is a shambles especially the poor behaviour of the security. Such a shame as the place has the potential to be pretty good. But I have never been treated so and to be man handled the way I was was atrocious. Something should be done about them as I fear I am not the only person to have said this. See More

Amazing venue, shame about the behaviour of the security. Last night at least 20 people were taken out by security in the end. "Taken out" probably isn't the correct term either, more like dragged out.... I didn't see one person do anything other than enjoy the gig! So it's a shame they had to repeatedly ruin it for so many people! Gigs can definitely get a bit messy, there was a big pit in the middle and people on shoulders etc. But as someone sober watching from the around the edge, all I could see was people enjoying amazing music! A couple stood in front of me ended up getting dragged out by their collars, and even the girl got punched in the end. It actually made me feel awful for them as two seconds before they were enjoying the music the same as me. This wasn't the only time I saw the security acting awfully.
Overall I probably wouldn't return because I would be scared of being beaten up by the HUGE security guards.

Great Gig last night to see Rich Hall. Staff were nice as they checked tickets and everyone filed in. Seats were packed tightly together but that is understandable given it was a sold out event. Drink...s aren't too badly priced either given the venue, security were great when it came to getting people to queue to get a signature and photo op with the main man.
All in all a great gig and will definitely be back ✌🏻

Came to see Will Varley. Was a brilliant gig, one of the best I've been too in a while. But then I went out for a cigarette, afterwards I came in to speak to Will but got told I needed a back stage, even though my friends were right there talking to him and had no such pass. Are they even a thing? Well done wedgewood. I've always wondered why, with such great gigs, no one speaks highly of this place. Now I know why. See More

Well thought be good to take my two girls and my nephew to watch their first gig and everything was going great until my nephew who started have bit of a anxiety attack due to his autism and the crowd...s, he wanted to stay and not leave as he didn't want his condition to effect his life so we decided he could sit in a sofa away from the crowds but could still hear the music result we thought till the useless security told him he had to leave so there he is 13yrs scared shitless trying to explain his problem, I even tried explaining but all fell in deaf ears never in my life have I felt so angry absolute joke and whole night ruined by idiot security staff!!! Love the wedge. Shame about the lack of decent acts in recent years. Most bands seems to be playing the Pyramids, or guildhall.

First venue I ever went to and I'll happily go there whenever a decent is playing. See More
