Visited Threefold Farm today for the first time. This Grammy didn't pick her own, but purchased several varieties of yummy raspberries pre-picked. What I didn't chow down are all cleaned and in the fr...eezer for smoothies and desserts. Thank you for the freshness of these! Will be returning soon. See More

We went to visit Tim at Three Fold Farm and even though he had his son's birthday party, he took some time out of his day to accommodate our visit.

Not only did he step away from the party but also t...ook us on a tour of his amazing fig and garden area. It is something to envy!

This is not our first purchase from Three Fold Farm, we had purchased a few (6) plants in July. He again accommodated my weird travel schedule and mailed me the plants when I got back 3 weeks later!

Now onto the plants themselves. The first purchase was 6 tree gallon-sized fig trees mailed to us. They were good size plants and great price for their size. Second set were no different, we decided to get bigger plants to have fruit the following year. All the trees were healthy and had no problems adjusting to my climate. They are growing well. Both purchases were great and we would buy again from Tim and plan to do so in the spring.

I just ate a delicious spring salad for the fifth day in a row. And today I added a homemade lemon-dill dressing with herbs from the farm. So pleased!

The produce at Threefold Farm is FRESH! I like to know where my food comes from and how it is grown. They give the public the same level of quality food as they give their own family. I will defini...tely be back! See More

Check out our new page on our recent install of a climate battery greenhouse. Confused as to what it is or how it works? Check it out at the site below. We'll even have regular updates to discuss its performance.

We've recently installed a climate battery greenhouse (high tunnel) at the farm and are excited about the prospects. We're still learning as we go but we thought we'd post about it as we continue to learn more. I've created a page that describes the project, and another where you can see performance

Proud to be part of this conference each year. If you're interested in commercial organic production, this is well worth the time and cost. Hope to see you there!

This is an older article but a good one. If you're interested in starting your own fig trees from cuttings we've had great success with this method. Also, we'll have cuttings for sale in the coming weeks, so stay tuned if you'd like to give this a try with some cuttings from us!

It’s true, I have a bit of an obsession with fig trees. I think it has to do with the challenge of growing figs up here (zone 6b this year, 7a most years). Plus, if you haven’t tried one, a fresh fig is hard to beat. What’s great is that figs are easy to propagate from cuttings! As I write this t

Compost spread in the high tunnel and cover crop seed spread (oats, clover). Hoping to break up some of this compacted soil to get things ready for spring planting! #climatebattery #solargreenhouse #ismelllikecompost

This is it, folks. The last harvest of our season. These beauties will be available until Saturday or until we sell out. Thank you for an amazing first season growing for YOU! #threefoldfarm #shoplocal #farmtotable #localfood

Annnnnnd done! Thanks to all who helped make this project possible: from a load of foundation work, to building bows, to construction and stretching plastic, a lot of work went into this. Will keep everyone updated on how the #climatebattery functions over the winter! #solargreenhouse

My pint runneth over! We have a surprising overabundance of figs this Halloween day. Come get 'em before they're gone. ...on a side note, I think I may start moonlighting as a waitress. #skillztopaythebillz #farmfresh #figs #threefoldfarm @ Threefold Farm

The last gleanings of fall... come grab some before the frost does! Plenty of figs, persimmons, and Che fruit to satiate your appetite!

The foundation for our high tunnel is done! It's been one of the biggest (and messiest) projects we've taken on here but we're hopeful it'll be well worth it. The tubes buried in the earth will help to cool the structure in the summer and warm it in the winter. The high tunnel structure will be built on top in the next few weeks! #earthtubes #climatebattery @ Threefold Farm

Interested in growing unusual fruits like pawpaws, persimmons, jujubes, kiwi berries, and figs?

I'd like to invite you to join me (Tim) at the Penn Cumberland Garden Club this Monday (10/16) from 10AM-11AM for a talk I'm giving entitled "Unusual Fruits for Central PA". The meeting is open to the public.

Will post the address in the comments below. Hope you can make it!

We sold out of figs in the first 3 minutes we were open! Apologies to those who wanted some today but try again tomorrow! The colder temps are keeping them from ripening quickly, unfortunately. We will have some amount of figs each day up until frost. And we have frozen figs for $5/lb while supplies last!

You won't believe what was hiding in the branches of the pawpaw trees! I can definitively say, these are the LAST PAWPAWS of the season. If you missed them last week, head on over today from 10-6!

Attention Fignatics! The stand is restocked! We've been selling out every day since the article came out. So if you missed them, head on over, we'll have them all week! Also notice the beautiful Concord grapes??

We were honored to be featured again by The Patriot News in Sunday's Home and Garden section by George Weigel. Be sure to check out the article if you're looking to add some interesting fruits to your yard! @pennlive

So awesome to have a @messiah.sustainability class here to tour the farm and taste our pawpaws and persimmons. They're even smiling after helping us weed our plantings! #growserveteach
