The people that work here are so friendly and very helpful. I never once felt judged for asking for help. The choice of food giving is extremely helpful to make everything stretch for the month. My wish is they had more meats to give.
Also I wish they had more parking but the park is like a minute walk away to park.

Did you know that the Thurmont Food Bank has an all volunteer staff that helps provide food for approximately 1,000 individuals each month? Much of their work is behind the scenes so people don't realize how many volunteers it takes to keep the Thurmont Food Bank running smoothly. Volunteers put in hundreds of hours each month doing everything from picking up food, organizing food, completing paperwork, greeting food recipients, cleaning, taking care of recycling, distributing food and raising funds. All during the month of September we'll be showing our appreciation for the volunteers so please be sure to thank them next time you visit the food bank.

Catoctin Mountain Orchards and the Black family have been generous supporters of the Thurmont Food Bank. They are truly community minded. Thank you!
