After a drive down from Darwin for a 6 day fishing trip, the axle and hub on the boat trailer seized up. Our hopes of a classic barra chase were dashed..... to say we were shattered was an understatem...ent. Until along came the owner of the Timber Creek Hotel, a man amongst men who saved the day. With a few spare parts, some good old fashioned elbow grease and a huge amount of help and advice from Callum we were on the water that same day. Legend!! He couldn't do enough to help us and we caught some big fish. Great accomo too..... will be back next year

Hazaaaa! And godspeed the good people of timber creek

I stayed in the upstairs rooms. Lovely room. Very comfortable. No wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes?
Meal in hotel was lovely and the staff are delightful.
Ordered takeaway breakfast and pack...ed lunch for work and it was ready for pickup and very tasty.
Only downside was being woken by a leafblower. Aargh..... Not the way to start a day.
Will stay again and definitely recommend

Plenty of room and loads of shade. Friendly, helpful staff. Cool, clean pool and all the facilities you need. Friday night pizza night is worth the stop just by itself

I spent 9 months living and working here back in 2009/2010. The place has so much to offer, the locals are all so friendly and the site itself offers something for all ages from croc feeding, fishing ...down at the boatramp to the river cruise booked down at the croc shop. Run by the Stone family who work hard to make this place what it is and i hope remains what it always was. I highly recommend younstop and stay here for a few nights and if they still do pizza nights you would be on the money to try them. See More

We stayed as apart of a school trip, kids loved it, the croc and bird feeding and the pool and playground. There are amazing sites from Policeman's point to the lookout. The Museum, boat ramp and were also a must see as well as the Gregory Boab tree. Great little town! See More
