Gov. Cooper has declared March 18-24 NC Surveyors Week and today is National Surveyors Day. We honor our team of professional land surveyors who are vital to c...onstruction projects, precision farming, transportation, land use and development, floodplain mapping, and county/state border determination. As part of the Emergency Management division, 6 licensed surveyors work to clarify state and county boundaries, establish elevations to support floodplain mapping, collect elevation data utilizing Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology, conduct photogrammetry surveys using UAS (aka drones) and develop/maintain the official survey base of the state of North Carolina. Hats off to our surveyors! #WeAreNCDPS

Yesterday, the town of apex yard waste pickup truck hit our mailbox (while in the process of removing a massive pile of leaves --better late than never?). It is severely damaged and will need to be re...placed. A few HOURS later (and with no prompting from me) a supervisor came to the house to photograph the damage and tell us that they would be replacing the mailbox!!! The town of Apex is amazing-- as a former NYer, that would never have happened where I came from!!! Thank you to the town of Apex for being such a wonderful place to call home See More

The Town of Apex is all about community! They have a friendly staff and are very responsive. They have also jumped in on some community issues, whether it's checking a storm drain for a pet or sending... a trash truck to a most special boy for his birthday wish. Top notch all the way and one of the many reasons we love Apex! See More

Apex is such a great place to live! You get the small town feel with the conveniences of a larger city. Plus Raleigh and Durham are just a short hop away if you need a little more variety. Great people!

THANK YOU Town of Apex for not making your citizens put their leaves in bags like the Town of Cary does. THANK YOU for sweeping the streets on a regular basis. THANK YOU for picking up logs from cut d...own trees. This allows your citizens to have trees removed at a better price then the citizens living in Cary (where tree companies must haul off the logs). Beyond terrible policy, there is no room for discrimination in this or any other community. Stop creating barriers and ammunition for people to hate each other.

Did anyone see the Sanford Correctional Inmate Van going down Interstate 1 towards Apex, NC today? I flashed the driver and honked for over five miles while she laughed and just shook her head at me.... I wonder what other abuses these inmates must suffer here! It was freezing today. Another display of abuse from those with authority unfortunately! What is being done to stop the abuse of Sanford NC inmates at this facility! The driver should be behind bars for abuse and negligence! See More

Town of Apex Government
Enjoy an extra hour of sleep this weekend! Daylight savings time ends on Sunday, November 5th at 2 a.m. when clocks need to be turned back. Town of Apex Fire Department reminds residents to check and change batteries once a year in all smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are in working condition. Be sure to replace smoke alarms every 10 years for optimal effectiveness and follow the manufacturer's recommendation regarding carbon monoxide detector replacement.
