Dear Town,

Do you think it might be possible for you to mow the area between the Caffi #1, gazebo, and the pitching lanes more than "only when necessary"? ...

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain it's a component of what we pay taxes for. Slogging through weeds and fighting off gnats so our daughters can play softball isn't my idea of a party.

If you could add it to your, oh...let's say...Once Weekly mowing schedule, that would be super.

I had a need to go to the Planning and Zoning department to clarify for me whether a certain activity could occur at a property. I dealt with Jennifer Murphy, Sharmaine, and Hyojung Harland. Each time... I walked in with a question, I was warmly received and treated professionally. I thank the department for answering my questions completely and pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks again,
John J

Thank you Town of Vienna for allowing yet another builder to cut down a 200+ year old tree in my neighborhood. It is reprehensible and I am disgusted. Good bye Vienna Woods hello McMansions.

I don't know when providing service to the citizens slid from a priority to "when we get around to it," but it is pretty disappointing. I registered my new car with Fairfax County online today, which... took about 5 minutes. Then I tried to register it in Vienna. Well, oops, you can't do that online. So I called the phone number given, and it was answered by a machine asking for my name and phone number so that they can return my call. That was 3+ hours ago. Apparently I am expected to wait home until someone feels like calling me back. I might have expected that from giant Fairfax County, but not from the little town of Vienna, that used to be dedicated to serving the citizens.

YOU'RE NOT DOING GREAT. You're not even doing an adequate job. What a turnaround.

For the second time, my clearly marked recycling bin was thrown away when the trash was picked up. I'm now out money twice over and not inclined to replace my bin. Our garbage collectors also are care...less with the trash bins and throw them anywhere they please after emptying the bins in the truck. When will Vienna take care of this problem? I've already attempted to contact City Hall and never got a response. See More

I lived in Vienna from 1954 to 1999, attended Vienna Elementary School and Flint Hill Elementary School and Madison High School and later was the broker at Heritage Homes of Vienna Real Estate, 344 Ma...ple Ave. Also attended Vienna Presbyterian Church the whole time we lived there. My dad, Guy Wilson was a councilman and then mayor until his untimely death in 1964 (at 43 years of age). Vienna is a very special place with lots of great memories. After I married we raised 3 children there and were active in Little League and Pigtail Ponytail softball for many years. See More

Virginia Theatre Company Consider producing this excellent stage adaptation of DRACULA by Richard Sharp It has been widely produced by professional regional theatres such as the Oregon Shakespeare F...estival, Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts [PCPA], The Tacoma Actors Guild, and others. It is well written, highly theatrical, a good representation of the Victorian novel and it explores many themes that are still relevant today: science and faith, the status of women, sexual purity, rape, good and evil, strength of character and others. The challenges and potential rewards are greatly appreciated by directors, actors, designers and technical directors.. It has also been produced extensively by community theatres, universities and high schools In addition, the lasting public fascination with the subject contributes to an unusual success at the box office. A synopsis, production requirements, a production history with sample review excerpts and a free perusal script download are available at See More

I think Mayor Seeman has done an amazing job of being responsive to our requests and needs. They are surely steering Vienna in the right direction of keeping Vienna family friendly and fun.
