Don't forget! Application deadline is December 4th. Plenty of applications available at City Hall. If you haven't heard about Port A Low Life's event this weekend, you better start clearing your calendar. More info over at https://www.facebook.com/events/874230366077233/

We would like to thank last year's previous donors and volunteers as we kick off our 20th annual Toy Round Up!

Applications are now available at Port Aransas City Hall, 710 W. Ave A. Once they have been completed, drop off the application and documentation with Dee Dee Ince at the temporary Police Department located in the PA Council Chambers. Drop off Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm. Applicants must provide proof of residency within Port Aransas and validate enrollment in PAIS...D. We encourage displaced Port Aransas families to apply.

If you are interested in donating please note that due to the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, we have needed to make changes to this year's operations. Unfortunately, Emergency Services are not able to store, sort and process toys due to limited resources and personnel needs. For this year only, we are asking only for monetary donations in the form of cash, check, or online donation. Donations can be delivered to City Hall at 710 W. Ave A, Port Aransas, TX 78373. Make checks payable to, "Emergency Services Toy Round Up." You can donate online here: http://donate.toyroundup.org . We ask that you please not leave any toys as we do not have space or manpower to manage it. We are a non-profit organization with the staff comprised of local medics, police officers, and firefighters. We a rigorous in our application and validation process, ensuring distribution of donations with the greatest care.

Our goal every year is to help our local families provide a special Christmas for their children. We realize that the devastation caused by hurricane Harvey has created needs that go beyond just putting toys under the Christmas Tree. Therefore, we are going to purchase gift cards from select stores that families can use to help not only provide a Christmas for their children but also help with recovery. Once we have determined what a family’s needs are, we will purchase the gift cards specifically for each family. We believe this flexibility for parents would provide the greatest impact this Christmas.

We are grateful for all of the support of our community. We could not be successful without it. Please help us to continue to succeed and provide the children of Port Aransas with another wonderful Christmas this year.

Thank you,
Port Aransas EMS
Port Aransas Police Department

HUGE SHOUT OUT to Ms Linda and Mr Greg for their incredible performance last night for EMS Toy Round Up at Treasure Island. The gang from Treasure Island raised $900 in cash and approximately $2500-3500 in toy and gift 🎁 donations for the children. Pictured are Ms Linda and her unicorn 🦄. Also pictured is Officer 👮 Knox who assisted us in picking up this huge donation of toys. No unicorns were injured in the pictures 😃😃 We look forward to partnering with Treasure Island in the future on similar projects. Thanks again.

A big thanks to all the businesses and residences that have been sending in donations. You will be seeing us out today emptying toy boxes around town, but they will be out until the 21st. We have already received some really great gifts including dolls, stuffed animals, and sports equipment.

Many of our donors last year were unreachable by mail. If you still would like to donate, we are providing a way for you to do it online. We are now accepting donations through Square. Please follow the link below.
