TM saved my life. As a five-year-old girl I had a life changing experience that left me with an overwhelming desire to be "home" with my Self. When I found TM almost 40 years ago, I immediately found ...that place again, even in my first meditation: I was HOME. There isn't a day I am not so very grateful for this key to my life. See More

I've been doing TM since 1973, and credit it with keeping me calm and centered through many difficult situations. I went through the Sidhi's training years ago; this practice enhances my life even mor...e. Since meditation is so important to me and the quality of my life, I try never to miss a day. When I have, I've felt stressed and not my usual self. The time and money I've spent on TM training over the years has been an incredibly wise investment. See More

I lived in Fairfield 1982 to 1987, with my late husband Martin Johnson. Our daughter Christine was born in Fairfield Hospital in 1986, and we then moved back to NY in 1987.
My TM-Sidhis course - Phili...ppines 1984.
In 2009 - 2013 my son Matthew Johnson attended, then graduated from MUM.
He then chose to stay, work, and live in Fairfield until 2015.

A wonderful experience, an incredible town to live, such happy memories

It sounds good, but I haven't been able to check it out yet. I really need it because of my anxiety, bipolar, add, social anxiety, and my brain won't shut up for 1 second my anxiety is so bad I feel it... every second of the day no matter what it is even in my dreams every night. I haven't been able to stop my mind enough to get to a meditative state, so I hope you can help me. See More

The last two posts were apparently removed due to content that contained truth regarding the cost of the program limiting it to many. That is not true only of TM but this is where you have asked for comments.

I took TM in 1970. Over these many years I wandered away when life got hectic with children and work, but always returned to the practice and it's never failed to make me feel better again. The truth ...I've learned, not to stop again. See More

I learned TM in early 70's. It has given me a wonderful foundation to go within myself. Thank God in the 1990's I started using it for spiritual development and to have a personal relationship with my... Higher Power. I do not recall any mention of the Creator or God, or Higher Power in any of the TM literature, but the teachings did lead me onto a much better connection within myself and my life in general. While it states this page is TM For Women men could also benefit from practicing it. I will be 84 in Sept. I lost my wife if 57 years and two sons in a 7 year period. During their illnesses and at hom...e care I took time for a few minutes alone to relax. Friends could not understand how I could be calm with all that was going on. I didn't realize then that I was practicing a low level of TM. See More

Good for our soul and release anything that we have negative in our minds.

Each sitting of meditation is like having a restorative vacation. I have sustained, fresh energy. I feel far more settled, and little things that used to bother me, don’t as much anymore. I’m more present, and more easily able to listen to and engage with others without my mind wandering. Each sitting of meditation leaves me feeling both incredibly relaxed and energized at the same time. I wish I’d discovered TM years ago.

Looking ahead both with humor and nervousness during the months of pregnancy, heavy with a child or maybe more than one, a mom can be both delighted and wary—after all, she had once been a little child, maybe had even been a handful, and precocious. And I’ve repeatedly heard parents joke about how the precious bundle of joy would someday morph into a teenager. Yikes. http://ow.ly/EgYG30ijj4D

I will start this article with the admission that I’m not a mother myself, though I have been deeply and intensely personally involved, both time-wise and emotionally, in taking care of children in my family and also of friends’ children. I don’t have the ultimate responsibility for any child,...

TM allows the mind to settle very deeply inward—in a natural way. TM teachers call this effortless transcending. It’s what sets TM apart and why the technique is so beneficial for mind and body, right from the start.

Transcendental Meditation: Michael J Fox
...He closed his eyes and began to meditate. Within seconds — literally seconds — all his tremors ceased. I am not talking gradually subsided, but just stopped. Stunned by what I saw, I closed my eyes and meditated with him. A few minutes later, when we both were done meditating, I looked over at him, and he was staring at his hands, which lay motionless on his lap. He sat like that for several more minutes, just looking at his hand...s.
“This moment,” he said, “is the calmest I have felt in years. Decades.”
We met the following day and, sure enough, he said the same thing happened...
Whenever he did TM, the tremors ceased. He said he had begun sleeping more soundly through the night whereas before he would wake up every one or two hours...
A month later, in another visit, Michael recalled how uncharacteristically relaxed he felt immediately prior to delivering an hour-long talk on Parkinson’s before a large audience in Toronto. ...he meditated for 20 minutes in the green room, walked out on stage, and gave one of the best talks of his life...
Although Michael’s tremors do inevitably return after he finishes his 20-minute meditation, for him the big thing has been the significant reduction in anxiety levels and the dramatic overall improvement in his quality of life...

Paul McCartneys daughter, Stella McCartney learned Transcendental Meditation in her 20's. “I didn’t want to part with money for it. But, you know, it’s probably the best investment I ever made...the beauty of TM is that it doesn’t matter who you are, what color you are, what size you are, what age you are; it’s an answer that everybody can bring into their life. I don’t see any negatives from anyone meditating. All I see from it is positivity.” www.tm-women.org
