I feel like I'm Family here. Everyone is willing to go the extra mile for me and my family. The personal questions on my family and remembering past conversatio...ns make me feel special. The Doctors and facility a top of the line. I'm blessed to be a of the UT SOUTHWESTERN family. As I draw closer to a Transplant Listing I know I'm in the right place. See More

Not a recipient but my month and a half old daughter is and my appreciation is more then I'll ever be able to explain. I'll always want to be able to hug the do...nor and family of the donor for the beautiful gift of sight that was given to my daughter! My heart is forever humbled and my baby is eternally happy. Giving and Receiving the Gift

The deadline is now Monday! So you still have time to enter!!!

For many, sight plays a large role in how we experience and remember the world around us. Receiving the gift of sight can be life changing and knowing that a lo...ved one is the reason someone else is able to see can be extremely comforting during a time of grief.

If you are a cornea recipient or a family member of a cornea donor, we encourage you to share your story about the #giftofsight through art, photography, or video as part of the "Through My Eyes" Contest. Please share your story about receiving a sight restoring corneal transplant or about your loved one who generously gave the gift of sight.

All submissions are due on Monday, February 27. For more information, visit the EBAA website.…/national-eye-donor-month/2017-th…/

Ever since the first "road trip" in Texas occurred in 1899 (Terrell to Dallas) Texans have loved exploring the roads of Texas. While this gas station doesn't go back quite that far in time it does represent a slower pace than the huge multi-island fueling stops along the interstates of today.
