My Fellow athletes it's time to pay it forward! On August 26th around 2pm we need volunteers to help out with our Youth Splash n' Dash at Kent County YMCA. Please come and help us make this a great event for the next generation of athletes! You can respond here if your able to join us or send us a message. Thank you!
Tonight at the kids clinic, our awesome athletes did warm up exercises, (including burpees!), ran the trails, did running drills and finished the workout with a fun water balloon relay race. The red bucket won by a hair, but everyone got good and soaked!!!
Tri-NE is giving away free slots to this years Kids Splash n' Dash! Be the first 10 people to respond to this message and your kid/kids will win free slots to the event.
The Tri-NE kids were at it again tonight at the 4th swim/run clinic. After tonight's swim lesson, warm up and running drills, they worked together as teams to finish an obstacle course. Oh, and one of the kids requested burpees during the warm up exercises!!! (Next week, Brady!)
July is almost over; and that means the RhodeShark Splash n' Dash is almost here! It's time to sign your kids up before they miss out on this fun event. Sign up at the link below.
This weekend is Ride 'Round Rhody 2017, a charity ride put on by a local nonprofit, LIFEcycle, raising money for cancer treatment. Many volunteer po...sitions remain open and I'm hoping some club members will be able to volunteer, once again.
In the past, TriNE members have ridden along the routes 🚴 to offer moral support and mechanical assistance (if comfortable). That would be great, but what is really needed are route marshals, and I think a rest stop or two.
If you're so inclined, please visit the volunteer site and sign up:
Yesterday evening Tri-NE held the first night of the Rhode Shark clinic. The kids enjoyed a 1/2 hour swim lesson followed by run training which included some trail running, running drills, a relay race and lots of fun! We wrapped up the night with a snack. Such a great group of kids and we are already looking forward to next week!!
Tonight's the night. Meet up at the Roger Williams Park Carousel at 6 pm for an easy run and then some food truck fun! Bring a blanket or chair to sit on for dinner. If you are not up for the run, join us just for dinner. Family friendly. https://www.foodtrucksin.com/…/food-trucks-roger-williams-p…
Be careful if you plan to ride in the Freetown area! http://turnto10.com/…/police-storm-drain-covers-stolen-in-f…
