Extra trash that doesn’t fit into a trash bin should NOT be placed in the yard waste bin as seen in this picture. If residents have extra bagged trash, they can... schedule an extra pickup by calling 311 or filling out an online form at southbendin.gov/extrapickup. Residents are allowed one extra trash pickup per month for up to one cubic yard. Additional extra pickups for the month will be charged $20 per cubic yard.

The City would like to remind residents that all trash must be bagged, and the lid of the bin must be closed completely to ensure bins will be picked up and emptied. No bags will be picked up outside or on top the of bin. If residents need a second trash bin, it can be requested by calling 311 or at southbendin.gov/binrequest. An additional bin costs $7.09 per month.
