Turner DesignGraphic Designer in Perth, Western Australia
We were honoured to be awarded a commendation for the Sunset Heritage project at the Design Institute of Australia Awards in December 2017.
The Judges’ comments were; “Elegant and clear – while achieving a level of typographic sophistication. The use of black out of yellow, combined with recycled wood and concrete creates a pleasing visual palette without compromising on functionality. A modern approach, respectful of the location’s environment and historical context.”
We are grateful to Building Management and Works – Department of Finance for the opportunity to work on such an interesting project.
Fielder St Creative is a cluster of private offices and co-working spaces in the ABC building in East Perth. Home to emerging, mid-tier and established practitioners in WA's screen industry, Tuner Design was asked to create a brand to promote these affordable office options which encourage creativity, collaboration and innovation.
The Perfect ARC - Creating the perfect arc is essential in both sport and design. To kick a goal, shoot a basket or pass to a team mate, the right trajectory is critical.
In design terms, the perfect arc sends a clear and strategically branded message to an audience. Based on the marketing themes of swimming, fitness, sport and play, Turner Design has developed a well targeted, colourful and dynamic branding system for the Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Centre. This unique ...design is realised in a full range of large format signage, print and online communications.
It’s the perfect ARC.

Brookfield Rail commissioned Turner Design to develop the branding and communications collateral for their move into new premises. The Bravo brand takes its name from the building, with secondary graphics utilising letters that reference rail signalling, transforming into 3D moving forms. Bravo, Turner Design.
Contributing to the beauty of the Coral Coast is our latest signage project for the RAC Cervantes Holiday Park.
As part of the refurbishment of the park, we designed a complete way-finding system to help holiday makers find their destination. The signage is produced with timber cladding and colours to reflect a beachside environment.
Pack up your tent and sleeping bag for a visit. Enjoy the picturesque drive to Cervantes and experience all the park has to offer with our signage design to complement the surroundings. Or to see more projects, please visit turnerdesign.com.au
The Bay of Islands in New Zealand is a stunning island paradise with hundreds of bays, outstanding natural beauty and historic towns. It is also the country’s most prestigious holiday and sailing locality. Local boutique real estate business Bay Realty engaged Turner Design to develop a brand which reflected the pristine environment and dramatic ocean views. The brand typography uses sail shapes to create the letter forms and strong colours complement the fresh and memorable brand applications.
Although CloudStoke operate in the digital space; writing, shooting, filming and editing digital content for business’ social media channels, they also value the marketing advantages of a leave-behind printed brochure. Turner Design created a secondary brand look and feel and a new colour palette for Cloudstoke to reflect their service offering. The result is a memorable geometric design in square format which is both visually interesting and informative.
Chinese New Year marks the advent of an explosion of colour and movement through the streets of Perth. In recognition of the year of the Rooster, we worked closely with the Office of Multicultural Interests to develop core branding elements an illustrative symbol and well considered typography.
Sculpture at Bathers starts this weekend Sat 25th Feb to 12th March. Turner Design created a logotype of custom stencil-type letters arranged to form a distinctive and sculptural mark. The logo has been diecut on the catalogue cover providing an interactive 3D effect. Take a look at Bathers Beach Fremantle.
2016 at Turner Design confirmed our belief that good design requires the infusion of creative ideas with clarity, immersion and process to achieve the best results. Much like brewing the perfect cup of tea.
In recognition of our clients' intrinsic part in that process, we presented them with a selection of herbal teas appropriately packaged in a beautifully designed tin canister featuring botanical illustrations combined with delicate typography.
We hope you find some inspiration for your own creativi-tea in 2017.
Turner Design is proud to have been commissioned to implement the visual design strategy, signage and way finding for both Como the Treasury Hotel and the State Buildings precinct. This project has been planned for several years and is unprecedented in Perth, heralding a new level of elegance in hotel facilities and upmarket F&B outlets.

In conjunction with Parry and Rosenthal Architects we designed a branding and signage program for the State Administrative Tribunal's new building. The design is an extension of our ongoing implementation of a co-ordinated signage system for the District Court, Kalgoorlie and Carnarvon Courthouses. We are pleased with the strength and adaptability of the design concept to work effectively across multiple locations.
The Turner Design tradition of designing a bespoke gift for our much appreciated clients continues. Cane Cut Riesling - a sticky from Juniper Estate was our gift selection for 2015.
