Congratulations to the girls of Universal ’05 for earning their berth to the 12u PGF national championship this July! From playing in the first game Friday at ...10a during the play-in round to closing out the last game Sunday night during a windstorm, the girls played awesome going 6-1 and outscoring their opponents 60-14 at the PGF Nor Cal Qualifier in Modesto.
The team has been on the road for the past few weeks as one of the only Nor Cal teams to try to qualify at the PGF So Cal and Las Vegas qualifiers. While they came up short during those attempts, nothing can replace the experience of traveling outside of your comfort zone and putting yourself in tough situations against some very tough opponents. It paid off this past weekend and it most certainly will continue to pay off as we forge our own path to Huntington Beach this summer. It all rolls into ONE. Onward U!
