So proud of our alums doing great things! Lianet received the Dominick and Emelene Aripoli Scholarship through the USF Latino Scholarship Program from 2009-2013. 🤘🏼💛💚🐂
Honors alumna, Lianet Vazquez ('13), stopped by the Honors College to visit Dean Adams and Mr. Mejias!
In 2012 while at #USF, she interned at the Center for De...mocracy and Community Development in Jerusalem. The following year, she was awarded the Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad in Jordan where she learned Arabic and volunteered as an English teaching assistant at a Palestinian refugee camp.
Her latest position was working as a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow with the British American Security Information Council. There, she worked on issues of nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament with a focus on building capacity for a Middle East free from weapons of mass destruction.
It's always a pleasure to get a visit from such a talented alum! 💫
