NEW PRESS RELEASE/MEDIA PRACTICE: We have received several inquirie…s regarding the format our online press releases are now appearing in.
In short, this agency has modified its practice pertaining to releasing the names of those charged with less serious (generally, non-felony) offenses. Arresting deputies continue to prepare press releases and these releases, including arrestee names, will still be submitted regularly and automatically to media agencies. They will then have the option to print the full releases, including the names.
Posts on this page for arrests for offenses directly relating to imminent or ongoing public safety concerns will continue to have all pertinent information. We will also continue to identify any agency which assists or participates with us in enforcement activities.
Media inquiries may be directed to our agency's Public Information Officer, Detective Lieutenant Abram D. Markiewicz, at 845-338-3640 or sheriff@co.ulster.ny.us. Afficher la suite
