I booked and pa...y for a ticket that was flying from 12 AUG Kuala Lumpur to San Francisco and 20 AUG Seattle to Singapore 21 AUG Singapore to Kuala Lumpur The ticket was bought on 17th July and i paid a total of SGD$ 1968.40 for the tickets. My confirmation number was FEM21S and the ticket was bought directly from the United website. However on the 12 AUG when i was trying to check in online. I realized it says the ticket can't be confirmed because the segment from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur can't be confirmed. So on the same day i called your contact office and enquire about this problem. Your staff told me that because the flight was operated by Silk Air and hence they were unable to confirm this segment. She told me she could cancel the segment of my Singapore to Kuala Lumpur flight and told me to purchase another ticket from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. I said okay and i even confirmed many times with her that she would only cancel the segment of Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. I proceeded to purchase a ticket from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur that costs SGD$ 88. However when i reached the airport to check in on the same day. They told me my whole booking was cancelled and the flight was full so i was not able to travel. I had to purchase another ticket that ruined my plan of the itinerary and at a higher costs. of USD$ 2192. This was SGD$1000 higher than my original cost of travel booked and confirmed by United. I demand compensation from your airways to compensate for my loss as this was entirely at fault by your company. You can check the voice recording of your staff and i am sure you would come back to the same result. I have attached both my original booking and my higher costs booking as proof. Please do not disappoint me. See More
