This review is for Unity Point Clinic Stoughton,WI.😞
I'm not happy with this clinic with new doctors and the staff, they don't seem to have their act together, they are very slow to get the referrals ...connecting with clinics in Stoughton and Madison. I recently went to see a new Dr. for a regular physical and she ordered to have a sleep apnea testing, but the order did not get fax to Stoughton clinic till 4-5 days later.? It took 2 weeks for someone to call me from Stoughton clinic left a message at 7:30 pm. night. ( Stoughton clinic is another issue) I called Stoughton Clinic for 2 days, But could not get to anyone. Only answering machine. I then called Unity clinic to send the referral to Madison clinic instead, but then I was told that Dr. needed to authorized it, again..? .And waited for 2 more days. why the heck another authorization when the Dr. already sent in the request and authorized it the first time for the same testing.? Just transferring the referral to different clinic? To much round around.! I ended up seeing 2 Drs. For just regular check ups. Useless! I often wonder where in the heck u get your receptionist staffs? They all have no personable personality in any way shape or form. I live in town for 20 yrs. been going to this clinic countless times but have not seen even one receptionist that have the least A minimum level of a good customer service friendly approach with a smile on their faces. Good doctors doesnt seem to stay here very long, I often wonder why? This Stoughton branch clinic always have very low / bad reviews, bad ratings isn't there any hope for any improvements.? 😩 See More

I came in after a head injury that happened at work and the ER Dr didn’t order a head XRAy but a Hand XRAy because the object landed on my hand. The X-ray technicians were Rude and not Friendly at al...l she was a total mess. I was in and out 45 minutes top. That is very unusual and seem to be very questionable , the performance they all gave. This was at the West Lakes in West Des Moines Location. I have Privates Insurance I’d expect Superb Services but they are total Losers! See More

This is for Unity Point Fort Dodge. I *think* (seriously, who knows?)

Billing screwed up our current mailing address in NW Iowa and instead sent my invoice for a procedure in May to a Des Moines add...ress we haven't lived at for nearly a decade. Then, after our elderly former neighbor in DM received our bill by mistake (which was marked going to collections!) she mailed it to us up here. I complained to billing and wanted to know how this could happen, that despite the piles of paperwork I filled out the one and only time we visited the surgery center in Fort Dodge, Unity Point somehow decided I still lived in Des Moines. Insurance (which we got right before we moved here) has our correct address. The referring physician has our correct address. The surgeon has our correct address. The admissions clerk at the Fort Dodge surgery center confirmed our billing address and everything else when we registered that morning. EVERYONE had the right address except Unity Point and no one I talked to this morning had ANY explanation why they were sending bills to a house we haven't lived in since the spring of 2008, almost a decade ago. When I finally reached a 'supervisor' she stated that our physician didn't properly indicate we had a change of address to update. This is INSANE because the physician had no idea we'd ever lived near Dea Moines or that he needed to update *anything*. Why should HE HAVE TO make sure your billing department updated the info when all of our paperwork we handed to your ADMISSIONS CLERK had our CURRENT ADDRESS (along with insurance, surgeon, etc. Everyone got this right but YOU.)

So now we have a bill marked for collections (which I'm paying today) that never should have been mailed to the wrong address at all, let alone for five months. And we only found out about it because a prior neighbor received it by mistake.

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? How can a major hospital system be operating their billing (and who knows what else!!) on obsolete, ten-year-old data?!?!

At least admit when you screw something up and apologize instead of blaming a phyisician who had no idea you had out of date information.

I had an appointment for a yearly physical today at UnityPoint Northridge in Cedar Rapids. It was an initial appointment, as I'm changing things up a bit -- I used to go to UI Hospital but don't make ...my way down to Iowa City much anymore.

Anyway, I thought the appointment was at 4:00, but it was actually at 3:30. That was my fault.

I got there shortly before 4:00, was informed of the actual time of my appointment, and was told that I wouldn't be able to be seen. I get that. Again, it was my fault.

So I asked to be rescheduled for a later time, and the receptionist told me that, if I was a no-show for an initial appointment, they'll never be able to schedule me for an appointment in that office again.

"Ever?!" I asked, incredulously.

"There's no time limit."

Look, I respect and am fully aware of the fact that these doctors' time is very valuable, and that they have a lot of patients. That said, to outright ban me from ever scheduling an appointment there again, simply due to missing my first one, is overly harsh.

Besides, I showed up a half-hour afterward! It's not like I outright skipped it.

I made a mistake, but it was pretty clearly an honest one. I get having my appointment cancelled due to my error, but to take such a draconian measure as to never let me back? That's just absurd.

Worthless. Trying to make a psychiatric appointment and was told by the office that they aren't taking new patient...at both Lakeview and at 6600 Western Pky. Where is a new patient to go? The West...own office referred me to Lakeview. But I had called Lakeview first and already knew they weren't taking any new patients. Maybe the two offices should try and coordinate. See More

My Dad, diagnosed with terminal cancer, given 6 months to live, told by you, unity point, that you will NOT do everything in your means to make his last time here on earth more comfortable. Since pati...ent care isn't your first priority he had to switch doctors, Now you take over his hospice care.. and I'm supposed to be like "Durr okay"?!? See More
