It's about that time! I cooked up some corned beef and cabbage for the undergrads today. Some of them had never had it so I knew what I needed to do.
Last night before I went to bed I placed a corned beef brisket in the slow cooker on low. I covered it with water and added a glug of vinegar. Don't ask me why, that's just what my great-grandmother did. It was done this morning so I threw it in the cooler until I was ready, then heated it back up while I made the cabbage.
So f...ar, I've had good reviews.

My Bologna has a first name, it's G-E-R-M-A-N. My Bologna has a second name it's S-T-Y-L-E. Oh I love to eat it everyday, and if you ask me why I say. Because the Meat Salesroom has a way with B-O-L-O-G-N-A.

We are also short on pork until Thursday. However, we have plenty of frozen pork. Spare ribs, back ribs, and chops, oh my! I've also got boston roasts and boneless shoulder blade steaks.
