Army Futures Command General John Murray and Mayor of Harlingen Chris Boswell joined me for a press conference to discuss Army Futures Command (AFC) and the importance of space research and technology to both the U.S. Army and the Rio Grande Valley. Established in 2018, Austin-based Army Futures Command is leading the Army’s modernization efforts, with a nearly $38 billion budget and 26,000 soldiers, contractors and civilians. During General Murray’s visit to South Texas, we toured SpaceX and United Launch Alliance to see the important work going on in these TX-34 facilities.

On this #HolocaustMemorialDay we remember all the victims of the hatred, oppression and racism of Nazi Germany. In the present we must work to ensure no one else falls victim to those atrocities and no one forgets what happened. #NeverAgain #WeRemember

Hi my name is Hannah Followill and I am from Houston, Texas! I am currently a junior at Texas A&M University and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness with minors in Spanish and Horticulture. During my internship, I hope to learn more about how policy effects producers and consumers in the agriculture industry and the food and beverage industry network that will enable me to best serve the industry. I am interested in learning more about the food and beverage industry, focusing on viticulture, produce, and grains.
