Have always loved this piece, as well as her earlier Picnic with Dog and Potted Camellia, and also her CHAIRS series, and and and....
I've been following Gathie Falk's work since I was a teenager. This 80artwork selection has prompted me to my personal home library and have just poured over the Gathie Falk Works vol. 1&2, Cap Rev. 1982; as well as the original 1985 catalogue from the CHAIRS exhibit which I originally visited nearly three decades ago at Elizabeth Nichol's Equinox Gallery, as it was known back then; as well as my signed copy of the VAG's "gathie falk". Thanks for this reminder of innovation and how art evolves ~ she's one of my favourite Canadian artists.

Want to see it in person? You can see Dress with Insect Box in the Gallery on the 3rd Floor... along with Gathie's wonderful Low Clouds piece. They're both in the UNREAL exhibition.

We visited the Colours exhibit a few weeks ago ~ over the top fantastic. I'm still dreaming. Will make a special trip back from Squamish to visit UNREAL. Thanks for all the amazing exhibits ~ CRAZY impacted all our kids who visited several times on our family membership.

KRAZY...correction. Oh yes, a nod back to Colour Of My Dreams, my heart was in my throat & I stopped dead in my tracks as I unexpectedly encountered the Hans Bellmer room ~ who until then I had only read about. Was amazing to see these works and all the others in person. Go KEG Restaurants and David Aisenstat ~ all the wonderful arts survive because of support from people like you!
