FYI The Veloway is no longer accessible from the Bowie High School campus. For the security of the students and staff the boundary fence has been upgraded and the gap closed.

Oh what a great night for a moon lit ride at the Veloway!

Wow! What a great idea! I hope we can have a Veloway north someday. I loved being in the woods but on my bike. And not crowded the day I went. Wonder how it is on a prime day?

Crushed granite parking lot is dangerous for skaters and the pebbles are carried onto track by bike traffic. That's my only real complaint of facility itself. Otherwise, The Veloway is my happy place.

Riding without having to worry about hitting pedestrians and cars makes this 3.17 mile loop worth it. Plus I like the snake crossing sign and rabbit sightings.

Hills, curves, parking on site, potties on site, scenery, loved by riders, safe, family friendly, free, long hours open, not an "out and back" route
