The New Lenox Police Department has a new Police Officer. Thomas Lynch was sworn in today by Village Clerk Laura Ruhl.

Officer Lynch is a lateral transfer from the Village of Addison Police Department.

"A Matter of Balance" is an evidence-based falls prevention program for older adults. Two new (FREE) classes are starting soon. Please share the information with seniors that may not be on Facebook - thank you!

Starting March 12th (Mondays) thru April 30th, 9:30am – 1...1:30am at New Lenox VFW Post 9545, 323 Old Hickory Road, New Lenox, IL 60451.

Starting April 2nd (Mondays) thru May 21st, 9:30am – 11:30am at New Lenox Village Hall (Community Room – lower level), 1 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox, IL 60451.

Cedar Road Water Main Replacement Project

The Village will be hosting an “Open House” meeting on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 in the Village Hall Community Room. At this meeting Village Staff will be available to discuss the project and any questions or concerns that you may have.

The Cedar Road Water Main Replacement Project will replace the existing water main along Cedar Road from Illinois Highway to Francis Road. The project will consist of installing new water main, hydrants, valves and service lines from the water main to the buffalo box. The work will take place within the existing Right-of Way along Cedar Road.

At last evening’s Village Board Meeting, the Mayor, Village Board of Trustees and staff recognized the New Lenox Mustang’s Pee Wee Football Team for winning the 2017 Southwest Midget Football League Championship.

Representatives from Old Plank Trail Bank were at the Village Board Meeting last evening to present the New Lenox Food Pantry with at check in the amount of $10,000.00. The money was raised from the bank's annual Pant for the Pantry 5k Race which was held on Sunday, October 15 2017.

Old Plank Trail Bank has donated $70,000.00 to the New Lenox Food Pantry over the course of 7 years!

At last evening's Village Board Meeting, Terrie Murphy and Mark Wieclaw were in attendance to speak about Relay for Life of New Lenox which will takes place on Friday, July 13 at Lincoln-Way West High School from 6:00pm - 2am.

Teams and individuals participate and raise funds to support the American Cancer Society's mission of saving lives from cancer. The event includes entertainment, family activities, survivor & caregiver recognition, food, theme laps, Luminaria ceremon...y and much more!

Relay for Life New Lenox asks that you join them at their event to bring New Lenox and our surrounding communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
