This is how it begins. This voice, and voices of the countless victims and witnesses to these tragedies need to be amplified by us, all of us, to our neighbors..., to our elected officials, to our community leaders. And our elected officials owe them and all of us a response to why, why when the overwhelming percentage of the American public is in favor of responsible gun reform laws, that National leadership is unwilling to even have a floor debate regarding this?
It is time to call everyone out, make them go on record and articulate their position in detail. And its up to us to amplify those responses as well. But that is not enough, we need to use the collective power of our vote, from school committee to President and every ballot in between, to support people who will move this agenda forward, and replace those who won't.
Congratulations!! A gem on Centerville’s Main Street.
Would this be possible in Barnstable?
Great discussion at public Planning Board meeting this evening regarding the proposed Hyannis Growth Incentive Zone and the expansion of the zone to include the property at 35 Scudder. Issues re environmental impacts, non-profit impact on tax base, infrastructure, and other taxpayer concerns... conversation will continue Thursday night at Town Council.
Please support our BHS celebration! Our students look forward to this every year and they need support from throughout the community in order to make this happen! Please donate!
Want to be a force for change in regards to more affordable housing?
The Community Development Partnershipand Housing Assistance Corporation - HAC are offering a series of 1 day and 3 day workshops in different locations across the Cape next month.
Learn how to influence your municipal leaders and advocate for yourself and anyone you know who has struggled to find housing on Cape Cod.
Do you know an ordinary person who is doing extraordinary things? It is important to recognize those people in our community who are making it a better place to live. Last week Keith Rosary was presented with a "Community Hero Award" by the Town Council.
If you know someone in our town whom you think should be honored, let me know!!
Finally! Have been wanting to do this for quite some time...sign up and support two great local charities!! Great way to explore the seven villages of Barnstable!
We should review what we are currently doing in the Town and ask if we can do a better job- as a Town and as citizens.
Our own Four Seas is on this list!!
This week you should have received your census in the mail - be sure to fill it out!
