Just met with Dr. G. There was a clot in one of McKenna's veins and it has been removed. He said she is very swollen, but ok. This is very unusual, but it happens. They are going to keep her in ICU over the weekend and that is music to my ears. Please thank God for this answered prayer. Thank you...to everyone that took a moment to lift her and the surgical team in prayer. God is good!
McKenna Whorton is back is surgery. We are once again asking for prayers both McKenna and the surgical team. One minute she was fine, the next--her chin was purple. Please pray that they are able to save the skin and the flap. God is ALWAYS good and and we trust that His plan is greater than we can see.
Memorial Day honors Servicemen that gave their all to protect our country and provide the freedoms we enjoy today. The Town of Addison in a unique way honors ou...r Veterans that served in the military and some who gave their all. The ones shown do not represent all who served. We also honor the ones that are not shown.
Family, Friends, and Supporters of Team Ritchie Whorton are invited to join us as we wait on the polls to come in on Tuesday, November 4th at the Hampton Inn on Hwy. 431 from 6:30 until 10:00. I know that I have said it more than a few times, but our family remains so humbled by the support that we have received during the campaign. We hope that you will come by for a hug and a sincere "thank you" on Tuesday.
Tomorrow will be 60 days until the election and Team Whorton is on the move! If you still have your sign, it's time to put it back up. If you would like a sign (large or small), send a PM or call the office at 256/725-7113 or 256/539-9050 and leave your address. Once again, I want to thank everyone that has supported the campaign in any way. Whether you shared a post on FB, put up a sign, mailed post cards, knocked on doors with us, ask a friend to vote, liked this page, or contributed financially to the campaign--you made a difference!
On Friday, July 4th, the Friends of Ritchie Whorton will host the annual “Pyro on the Pond” in honor of everyone that supported Ritchie in the primary and to welcome all new supporters for the November 4th race. “I said from day one that, if I was blessed enough to serve, my only political boss in Montgomery would be the people of District 22,” Whorton stated. “That statement has never been more true than today, and it will continue to be true four years from now.”
We're still out knocking on doors and campaigning for every vote, but I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support through this campaign. Shirley and I want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and want to remind you to vote TOMORROW, JUNE 3rd, in the Republican Primary.
I am proud of the campaign I have run. Instead of making the race about my opponent, I have stuck to the issues and stressed the importance of active leadership for our district. This campaign has been a reflection of my values as a man of God, as a husband, and as a father. I’ve known Wayne Johnson for years. I thank him for serving his community through his career in law enforcement. However, when someone tells a malicious lie, they need to be called out on it. That is exactly what Wayne Johnson has done to me in a new and low attempt to hold his seat in Montgomery. I’m going to clearly lay out the facts for you so you can make a decision for yourself. In the end, I think you will see that Wayne Johnson is lying and he owes an apology to the people of District 22.
Tired of dirty politics? My opponent has taken money from 28 separate Montgomery PACs that keep filling up your mailboxes. I'm calling for a campaign that focuses on the issues - not on baseless attacks.
Team Whorton…coming to a door near you! We have spent the day shaking the hands of the great voters of District 22. From day one, we have made every effort to run a campaign that addresses the issues that I believe are important to the people of this district and to avoid negative tactics. If you have seen the “puppet” mailer, I would like to assure you that I have never been anyone’s puppet and if you do not know me personally, I hope that you will take a few minutes to ...ask someone that does know me personally about my values and desire to improve the opportunities for the people of this district. We have our first direct mail piece coming out soon and it will not be attack based. Direct mail is expensive and in an effort to cut costs, we made the decision to focus our money and our efforts on a door-to-door grass roots campaign. I truly appreciate every person that has supported my campaign in any way. Shirley and I ask that you continue to pray for us as we spend the final days working to reach as many voters as possible. At the end of the day, the only people that will be pulling my “puppet” strings will be the people of District 22.
