The Opening Ceremony of RESTART has successfully began with the welcoming speeches of Mr. Antonakakis, Project manager of the program, Mr. Kyrkos, MEP, Mrs. Voz...emberg, MEP, Mr Papagiannakis, Vice-Mayor of the Municipality of Athens for Migrants, Refugees and Municipal Decentralization, Mr Karvounis A., Head of Europe for Cirizens Contact Point at the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Karvounis P.,Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Greece, and Mr Tsoutsoplides Press Officer of the European Parliament Information Office in Athens.

Today we had a very lively debate at our event about the drama surrounding the Austrian presidential elections and the rise of nationalism in this country. MEPs from every group: Ulrike Lunacek (Greens/EFA), Othmar Karas (EPP), Eugen Freund (S&D), Harald Vilimsky (ENF) and Angelika Mlinar (ALDE/ADLE) answered the question of whether these national elections can add one more challenge to the European construction.
