The staff at the WAAR office is fantastic. They always greet you with a smile, and quick with answers to your real estate questions.

KEEP JAMES CITY COUNTY A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, AND RAISE A FAMILY. LET'S LOWER THE TAX BURDEN ON HOMEOWNERS!!!

Fight for Lower Taxes Tell the JCC Board of Supervisors to support homeowners + small businesses  Act Now!

The Virginia General Assembly recently passed legislation that brings a new, broad-based infusion of tax revenue to the City of Williamsburg. Half of the new revenue will be dedicated to promoting economic development in the Historic Triangle through tourism promotion, while the other half will be sent to Williamsburg’s general fund to provide regular City services to residents.

Because of this new tax revenue, the Council SHOULD NOT SUPPORT proposed new tax increases on the... City’s homeowners.

On May 10, the City Council will consider a proposed budget that increases the real estate tax burden on homeowners. The proposal, which hikes the tax rate on homeowners from 64 to 67 cents per $100 of assessed value, will take hundreds of dollars out of families’ pockets each year.

Take action now and contact the Mayor and City Council to ask that they protect homeowners by voting “NO” on increased real estate taxes.
