
WIGA NYC in collaboration with SUNY’s Global Affairs Program will be hosting its second workshop series: Toolkit for Powercharging Women’s US Job Search. The workshop will be spearheaded by Founder & CEO of Global Commerce Education, Inc., Sophie Lechner, in which she will focus on the strengthening of core skills such as the WHATs, WHEREs, and HOWs.

The workshop will be divided into:
-What job do you really want? Uncover your true calling
Many options are open to you. To help you zero-in on your job target and maximize your chances of landing a job you love, we will share a method and tools to guide your reflexion
-How do you align with that job? Inventory your skills and experiences
You need to show you are the best choice for the job. We will share a template to help you examine your past experiences and uncover the hidden value in each of them
-Where and how to find that job? Set the stage for the job to find you
Networking is the central strategy in any job search. We will discuss how to target your networking, how to prepare, what to say and do and the all important follow-up
-How to present yourself? Ensure your brand reflects you
Your digital presence must be compelling to your audience. We will discuss how to create the best representation of who you are, focusing on LinkedIn and your resume
-How to communicate your value? Make them see you are a "must have"
In networking and in interviews, we will review the key principles of communication to make a strong impression and land that job.
