It’s simple. Regulation. As the three or four of you know, I pin the downfall of radio partly on the overregulation of radio and the under-regulation of Facebook. And if there’s anything...

No more reason to listen except (and, yes, I still listened during the day if NPR gets too boring) if I want to hear the morning and afternoon 'Enough about me, let's talk about me...' ritual. Playing... region flashbacks, er, podcasts, uh, JEDcasts (see? ME ME ME) does not replace the rich content a show like Region After Dark offers, near without fail, four nights a week. Jed, you pushed away one show with Your Car Guy, and now you have pushed away another. However, I know you could not care less- I heard you, several times, take credit for shows your call-in listeners has been said by Billy Baker, 'No idea is good until you think of it.' After over a decade, and at least in the seven years I have known you, you'll never learn. You spend money on technology you don't end up using, and cut shows and staff hours because of your apparent refusal to think ahead or take the advice you continuously ask for (and, finally, ignore). Good luck maintaining a station with the same ten callers and the same self-aggrandizing morning show. Don't worry, the people you are courting/playing their podcasts/shows will find out soon enough. I could only imagine what you aren't paying them for their content. See More

I listened to wjob for over 50 yrs , rad was one of the best programs to listen to , besides the invasion of ufos , n Santa at Xmas eve when I was little , rad brought to us memories , tears n laughte...r , I think that is a great entertainment you had all ages , Rick talked about a wide variety of interests , he brought the people in n got a huge response n participation of the audience in , taking it down was a mistake , you probably lost a lot if listeners . Get it together have a lot of empty air space , pretty sad . there was way to much sports played as well not everyone is such a big fan of it . There's only a few shows that are worth listening too n Rad was one of them ..bring Rick back n Rad ...please ...would be to your benefit in sure . See More

Shocking that WJOB can cancel the hippest and most entertaining show in their daily line-up.
RAD/Rick Kubic always reminded me of the early years of FM when disc jockeys could actually think and comm...unicate with listeners with a sharing of music that they loved. Jed, you just made your local station much weaker and typical.
Bad move. And now many of your listeners will be moving somewhere else on the dial.

Now, Deadhead Radio really sucks along with the owners. Rick's show was well prepared and-entertaining. No wonder even Amazon's Alexa's refuses to find WJOB and plays a hillbilly station instead. Luck...y they still have Gene, Harlow, and Coast to Coast. Their 2 advertisers can be happy that the entire station isn't rotting to hell! Sell the station to McDermott. Or have the interns wise you up. See More

Local radio done right. When I was a kid, my grandparents had wjob on in the kitchen all day and night. I grew up on 1230 AM. So happy to see what Alexis and JED have done with the station in recent y...ears, from securing the broadcasting of pro football games to consistent excellence in local programming. I listen in the mornings the most, and Wednesday mornings with Al Hamnik is just great radio. Kusiak and Riordan are great hosts as well when on the air. Kudos to JED and team for keeping the Region informed and entertained. See More

Nobody does it better than WJOB AM 1230/FM 104.7 when it comes to local radio! It's the station that we all grew up with, the one that we re-visit from time to time, the one that new listeners have di...scovered, & the one that keeps re-inventing itself to stay current. In a nutshell, WJOB is kind of like your favorite, local pizza joint or mom & pop establishment - where they "know" you, & want to give you the best, local service that you've come to know & expect. When you listen, it's kind of like being "home". See More

Keep up the good work WJOB. My father is a Korean Army Veteran Post 508 East Chicago, Indiana and we know all about racism in the Calumet Region of Indiana. My family knows how to respect the US mil...itary and local law enforcement. God Bless America my opinion. See More

WWJOB provides a great service to the Calumet Region. They are on top of all bad weather situations and other incidents that affect travel through the area. Jim Dedelow does an outstanding job us informed of any problems affecting the citizens in the Region. See More

I used to love this station, but you just lost the best thing you had going for you in Rick Kubic. That was a terrible move.

While I would have gave them 4 stars last year, the recent programming is not preferred by me. I miss Clark Howard in the afternoons, and the Region Flashback. I definitely don't like the podcasts i...n the afternoons. See More
