It's lunch time for Millie at the waterfowl display ponds! Today is your last chance to visit her until next spring, however the display ponds will remain open through the weekend so you can come down and see some of the migratory birds before they head south!

I enjoy walking my little dog around the park and I also enjoy driving especially on days/evenings when it is raining or now at this time of year snowing! I would love to see more parking in between... Broad and the Sience Center. Room for lots more parking on that wasted grass areas. Maybe enforcing the speed limit as so any people love to speed through there. Just sayin; ) it's such a beautiful park! See More

We had our wedding at the bandstand in the park. The bridal party arrived via ferrry from the ledge. It was beautiful and scenic. Couldn't imagine it anywhere else. It was a bit chaotic for set up and... take down but it was worth it! A+++ See More

Early yesterday I was mapping out different trails near the hill. I'm sure I looked crazy walking barefoot switchbacking through the same area, carrying my shoes and damp from a sprinkler. The groundskeeper, James took notice and stopped to make sure I was okay. It was a simple gesture but rare for workers who dont typically deal with the public to go out of there way and be so personable. Our little chat made my day. It feels good to be back in Saskatchewan See More

Wascana Centre is absolutely spectacular! The only drawback is the number of vehicles cruising through the park, which makes the paths very crowded at times. If they were not allowed in the park, for limited access to select parking areas, the roads could be used by bikers, runners, skateboarders and the paths would be free for walkers and Pokemon hunters. Also, please consider closing the road to the top of the Douglas Park hill to vehicles. Encourage people to walk up the hill and limit the dust cars kick up. People doing hill training will thank you. See More

Free transit from the rider game to wascana to watch the fireworks is great... when transit is actually able to get you there before the damn fireworks...

Thank you SO much to the lovely women walking along the bike path who found my Velcro-attached bike pack (contained my phone and car keys), kept walking in the direction that would find me, and return...ed it in perfect condition. Thanks so much for your integrity! See More

Thankyou for all snow removal on sidewalks for wheelchairs as my son is in one. He got out yesterday for a stroll around the lake and had no issues on getting stuck.

But why aren't signs posted about feeding the birds?

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Fun Fact Friday - 🇮🇪 ️St. Patrick’s Day theme ☘️

Before you start your search for the Leprechaun’s gold tomorrow, here are a couple interesting facts about this precious metal.

For most of mankind’s existence we have been extracting gold for various uses, but have you ever thought about the amount of gold that has actually been mined? To give you visual, picture not one, not two, but three Olympic sized swimming pools filled with all the gold ever extracted in the world! Imp...ressive right?

This is nothing to what’s currently in the Earth’s core. There is enough gold in the core to cover the surface of the Earth to a depth of 1.5ft! …Maybe for St. Patrick’s day you can go panning for gold instead of chasing rainbows🌈!
