Many activities at Woodsmoor. Weaving was fun!

Today, Watauga campers traveled to Woodsmoor, the studio of local artists Steve Westfield and Mark Magnuson. There, they learned the craft of rug weaving.

They also learned the Japanese art of gyotaku (Japanese fish printing) from artist Susan McGolrick.

Dance and music practices "Singin' in the Rain"

Straight from the makeup studio to the dance floor, theatre has joined the dance students for a lesson in musical theatre from Professor Marcus Hayes 🎶 💃


Theatre students practiced stage makeup with the help of Professor Leni Dyer. They designed and executed their own fantasy make up 💄

Tonight's group activity was lead by dance Professor Marcus Hayes. Campers learned several South and Latin American dances, and had the chance to show off their own dance moves near the end of class 💃


Tonight, campers learned about the intricacies of the use of music in film. Dr. Eli Lara gave a lecture with examples of different ways music has been utilized throughout history 🎼

Campers are currently participating in Tower Hour, spearheaded by Professor McLean Fahnestock! The goal is for each team to create a tall tower using only paper and tape 📄
