We loved it is an understatement! Lobster and eggs Benedict, smashed loaded potatoes and all three of us enjoyed the best breakfast cocktails ever! Really the Bloody Mary was so good! This was our time visiting the Cafe and certainly will not be the last! If your looking for the best breakfast in the Lakes Region than take a trip to Water St Cafe!! See More

Went today with my family...not impressed with the service at all. We got there and were one of the first tables sitting. We had to wait while the server walked around with the menus under her arm a...nd told us 2x she'd be right with us and then disappeared, I ended up getting up and getting our menus for our table. We then waited approximately a half hour for a childs pancake, a Reuben, a ham club and a burger. The food was great but servers and the service are not the best at all. Unfortunately, we will not be back after our experience today. See More

Went to the cafe for the first time yesterday! Waitress was great and came over several times to check on us. I had the tuna club that was perfect! A little upset that I couldnt have onion rings (frye...r wasn't on because it was only 10:30am), but the home fries were great! Can't wait to go back! :) See More

Thanks so much for the lovely, delicious tea sandwiches with such an amazing variety too! I really liked the spinach wrap with roasted red pepper hummus and avocado. I was only disappointed that I cou...ldn't try all of the different types. The pasta salad was also perfect. Everyone at the party loved the food. I really have to thank Jen who went out of her way to make sure all the details were carried through, and she humored all of my e-mails:) You absolutely made my daughter's bridal shower special! 2 weeks ago, I had a car appt, at Irwin, and the shuttle driver asked us if we had somewhere we wanted to go while the work was being done. We asked him to take us to the Water Street Cafe (been too since we were there last). I had the special of the day: Lemon Blueberry Pound Cake French Toast. While this seemed unique to me, I decided to try it. The first bite, I guess I was a little animated, as I covered my mouth with my hand and my eyes were bigger than half dollars! A lady across the dining room saw me asked if I had burned my mouth. My response, "No, just that this is Heaven on a Plate!" Yesterday (2 weeks later), I had to go back to Irwin and I called the day before to ask if, by chance, this would be a special. The owner was the one who answered and he went to look, and said there was more in the freezer, so I was in luck. We went back and had the same thing. By now, after all my raving about the French Toast, everyone at Irwin AND Water Street Cafe call me the French Toast Lady! I'll wear that hat, because it fits!! The waitresses were all amazing, helpful and I have made great connections with Cassie and Paula!! Keep up the good work, folks! I think I have told at least a million people, so you better put this on the REGULAR menu!! :D See More

my omelet was visibly burned. I brought it to the attention of the waitress. She did offer to get me something else but after seeing the first one I just didn't want anything. When she brought the... bill she said "I have consulted with the manager and she said to take some money off your bill'. I did eat the toast as that was fine and so she took $5.00 off my meal. I ended up paying 4.95 for two pieces of toast. I didn't even have coffee. Most good restaurants would have removed the breakfast cost. Also, better restaurants have the manager come over. They didn't seem to care...this party of 4 will not be back. See More

Had some Refreshing choices on the menu such as scalloped potatoes & oatmeal molasses toast. Not the same old carbon copy breakfast menu that is so typical. Everything had Fresh tasting homemade flavo...r. The florentine omelette was one of the best I have had recently. The cook knows what he/she is doing. See More

I had such a miserable experience at this restaurant. I was served scallops that had gone bad, a waitress that basically ignored us. I mean it was absolutely ridiculous. When I asked her to smell the ...scallops she simply blew me off and told me that everyone else loved them. That was probably a falsehood. Instead of trying to please the customer she got all defensive and I was actually very sensitive to not hurt her feelings. So, it was a very poor experience for my family. Our night was ruined. Put a damper on everyones mood. I will never go back there again. See More

Food was fantastic, good sized portions, kitchen was very accommodating to special request, our waitress Stephanie was very pleasant and attentive of our large party of 9, would deffinatly recommend

What goes better with a nice Sunday dinner? A homemade from scratch chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I have posted many pictures of things I've made here at the restaurant but hands-down this chocolate cake could possibly be one of the best recipes I've ever made. I am currently patting myself on the back. Come try for yourself.
