I live in TN and I recently ordered a sandwich tray to be delivered to the funeral home in Waukee to the family of the deceased. It was supposed to be delivered the afternoon of the visitation, which... was on a Friday. I told the family that I would provide dinner for them so they wouldn't be hungry during the 3 hour long visitation. On Monday, I found out from a family member that the food was never delivered. I called Dan, the assistant manager of the deli, and he repeatedly apologized. Turns out the food was still sitting in their cooler (they charged me $60 for it). Dan told me my credit card wasn't charged and wanted to send me a $40 Hy-Vee gift card to make up for it. I reluctantly agreed, even though I was embarrassed that I fell through on my promise to the family to provide food for them. Dan assured me he would put it in the mail that day. Well, 2 weeks later I still hadn't received the gift card, which I intended on giving to the family of the deceased in Iowa. After giving me the run around, they assured me it had been mailed and didn't know what happened to it! BS! Needless to say, Hy-Vee has lost my trust and business! So much for customer service!!!! As far as the store itself and what it stocks, this store is great! They have everything I need in one place. But every time I go and someone bags my groceries for me, there’s a problem. My breads get... bagged under glass jars, fruits and veg thrown in with heavy/hard items so they are banged up by the time I get home. Cold items not bagged together to help keep them cold. When I unload my cart I always put similar items together to make it easier for them to bag, and it doesn’t matter. I have had to go back to the store so many times because the rolls or buns I got were flattened under soup cans, or the bananas got crushed and the peel split open under the weight of spaghetti sauce cans. I've only had good experiences here! I usually bring along my 3 small kids and employees are always asking if they can help or have several times offered the curb side pick up so I can get the kids in... the car. Some of the cashiers have remembered us and interact with the kids. A manager even went in the back to look for a toy they had in the floor for sale a few weeks ago but no longer had on display. Never had any issues here! See More

Hy Vee Wowkee is right!! My husband and I were going over our budget from 2017 and realized that we were wasting most of our money on food...eating out, ordering in or buying groceries we just didn’t ...use. So, I decided 2018 would be different. I sat down and made menu plans for the entire year of 2018 (4 different weekly menu plans for winter and 4 for summer). Originally, I though I would have to price each item individually and have a list on hand and search your site each week to place my weekly order. When I got to the Aisles Online though I was pleasantly surprised. I found that I can create and save all 8 of my weekly shopping list and get pricing as I created them! This is amazing! Now each week all I have to do is go to the appropriate list and add the items to my cart and you even apply coupons for me!!! This is just amazing! I placed my second order of the year yesterday in under 5 minutes and my groceries arrived this morning for the next week and the best part they came in under budget due to coupons you applied that I didn’t have to look for or clip!!! I am a stay at home Mom to a 5 and 3 year old and I stay pretty busy with them, so the fact that I don’t have to menu plan or make any long trips to the store with both kids in tow for a full year is AMAZING!! Thank you Hy Vee for helping me save time for more fun activities with my kids and helping our budget!! Kudos to your Aisles Online team, they are setting Hy Vee apart from every other store!!! I've never had a good experience at this location. The employees are rude and incredibly unhelpful. Whether it's trying to charge me $30 for a salad, noticing my impairment and obvious struggling to g...et something and not assisting, or being unsympathetic to a problem and then badmouthing me to another manager. I'll be driving across town to West Lakes HyVee because they go above and beyond for their customers. See More

I just wanted to say your employee Andre at the Hyvee gas is incredible. He is so welcoming to my 3 year old, and remembers us every time we’re in. I have worked in Customer service my whole life, and... I would be so honored to have a staff member like Andre work for me. My 3 year old is too shy to actually talk to him, but she loves him and we just wanted to drop by and say thank you to him again. He is a tremendous person and so kind. � See More

Love the staff and management both the store and market grill. Always friendly and going above and beyond to make it allways great and enjoyable. The grill can for sure give many restaurants a run for... their money. See More

Our bartender and server, Collin, was amazing! Not only was he extremely attentive to us but to everyone at the bar. He knew all the drinks on tap and explained them in detail. Made suggestions for ...appetizers and drinks and explained the weekly specials. WOW! Will be back for sure and may become a part time regular like others we met there. See More

4 out of the last 5 visits we have been charged on average 5-10$ more in total compared to the posted prices. Nothing more frustrating that having to audit what the store actually charges you. 2 of ...the 4 Times we were given the difference and the other 2 times we were given the items for free. Seems like multiple things need addressing. See More

Hey HyVee, you need to step up your service!! Was at Waukee HyVee today. Jennifer (my checkout) was not a happy camper today and it showed. No customer service there! Called yesterday to see about an ...item. Sent to 2 depts. transferred back to original dept. who then told me my item was from a different dept and they were all at lunch and would I call back in 10 mins. because she couldn't find anyone. WHAT???!!! Not helpful. See More

Hyvee isn’t my first choice in grocery shopping as the prices are high. The customer service counter is always under staffed. They do have a nice selection. They had trick or treating and Santa so the...y are family friendly. See More

I love everything about the store except how my groceries are bagged. Whether its paper, plastic or environmentally friendly its not that difficult. Better training perhaps?

I want to give a huge shout out to Linda S !! A few Monday's ago, I ordered groceries online in the morning to be picked up between 5-6pm that evening. I arrived right at 5 and Linda came out to greet... me but soon realized I had chosen Tuesday from 5-6 for pick up. I was bummed cause it was only 10-15 items and I live in Redfield and did not want to drive back the next day. Linda quickly offered many options: she could run in quick and grab them or she even offered to bring them to Redfield on her way home!! My daughter had dance class at 6 so she ran inside quickly and got them right out to me! I was so appreciative then I received a thank you note in the mail from her thanking me for allowing her to be my shopper and letting me know she was glad to make my night easier! I cannot thank her enough! After running errands with a 2 and 5 year old she has no idea how much easier she made my night! Love Hy-Vee aisles online!! I like that this store has enough checkers and I usually don't have to wait in line too long. The pharmacy definitely needs work as they always have a long wait and have lost my prescription before. T...he bakery is ok but I was disappointed in my son's birthday cake I ordered yesterday. It wasn't as big as the one in the case they showed me and the layers were sloppy. See More

Three times I've had to go back to the store because they forgot to give me all my bags. The express checkout lane is for items that are less than 10. Why is it that I always have ONE item that you pu...t in a separate bag and forget to give to me? Of all the less than 10 items, how is it that one gets forgotten? ONE? It's an inconvenience when I get all the way home, to have to drive back to the store, find a parking spot, and run back in only for the the cashier to stare at me oddly as I stand in line with NO items in my hand. Then when it's my turn, the cashier asks me what they can help me with. Once I explain that a bag was never given to me, their response is, "Oh you forgot it." No, YOU forgot to give it to me. I'm so frustrated that this has happened. The first was a card, second was a bottle of wine third was a block of cheese....I'm never going back to this Hy-Vee. I'll stick to driving further so I can avoid these mishaps. See More
