Delicious food, we had chicken/
beef/ vegetarian on the same plate to share. Lovely spiced tea before to keep us warm before eating, nice wine and beer. Best coffee ever served with sweet bread and popc...orn, we even tried the coffee with salt and butter! (Ethiopian way of drinking it.) Lovely people, friendly staff, had a chat with a family at the next table about coffee, food &tradition s. Never been to an Ethiopian restaurant before so didn't know what to expect, but Wolkite Kitfo will be one we're going to talk about for a long time and recommend it to our friends!
Amazing food (and very cheap prices!), the vegetarian
option (a mix of different vegetables and pulses, each seasoned with different spices) was really tasty. OH had meat, which he said was tasty and ...tender. The honey wine is delicious. Friendly helpful staff, I'd definitely go back if I were to travel to London again.
This was my first experience
of Ethiopian food. Wow! We shared vegetarian , chicken, beef & lamb between the party. The proprietor tailored it to our tastes, having asked what our spicy preference s wer...e. Such a lovely atmosphere too. So welcoming and relaxed. Would definitely return.
Lovely food: we had the beyanetu with awaze paste, gomen and tibs with injera and St. George beer (vegetaria
n dish with hot sauce, cabbage ...with and without cheese ... and fried cubed meat); all ser...ved in the traditiona l way. The food was authentic and extremely tasty. The surroundin gs are clean, and quite plain, when compared with other Ethiopian restaurant s (in London or Ethiopia), but the service and hospitalit y was good and very welcoming.
What a hidden gem. Definitely
worth a visit. I had never tried Ethiopian food before and I was pleasantly surprised. Was really good home cooked food and full of flavour and the prices are more than ...reasonable . If I'm ever here again I will definitely visit again
We had the Special Kitfo (something
like steak tartare), the vegetarian selection, and the Zilzil Tibs. Would say all were exceptiona l dishes, and would order all again. Best Ethiopian restaurant I've... been to. I was with a friend who's just back from 3 weeks travelling all over Ethiopia and she was impressed. Nice people too.

When it was suggested that it was time to wash our hands, i thought this merely cursory until I found myself and my friends picking from a giant shared plate with only the aid of a squishy pancake-li
k...e thing, which served as an excellent scoop for the incredibly diverse, richly flavoured range of 'sauces' we'd ordered. Lamb...chi ckpeas... lentils... delicate spices and tastes which left us all collective ly going "woahh try this one... no this one, too...WOAH HH no that one, too!".
A unique experience
accompanie d by the best mead - and possibly drink in general - that I have had in London - least of all for £15/ each including drinks. Informal atmosphere and nicely decorated space. If you haven't had Ethiopian before, try it, and try it here. Top marks.
A unique experience
