Well Street Art Company is pleased to announce an exhibit by Fairbanks painter David Mollett. He is showing works created in the environs of Vers-Pont-du-Gard, France. He maintained a six month residency near Avignon from February to August last year. The paintings are oil on canvas and acrylic on paper done on location from nature. The beautiful sunlit Languedoc countryside provided inspiration for the twenty paintings on exhibit.
Also this month at Well Street will be the 19th Annual Exhibition by the Fairbanks Watercolor Society. This much anticipated annual show will showcase the many local watercolorists latest works. Artists included among others will be Tom and Nelda Nixon, Cheryl Berrong, Vladimir Zhikharsev and Anne Alshire.
This Saturday Well Street Art Company is hosting a vinyl and cd sale of giant proportions! Come sort through thousands of albums from 12-6pm. We will have multiple vendors with diverse collections so there is definitely something for everyone! See you there!
Well Street Art Company is pleased to announce an exhibit of original vintage rock & roll posters February 2018. Most of the posters date from the late 1960s and are promoting shows at the Fillmore Auditorium and Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. The artists represented include Wes Wilson, Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso among others. The bands featured include the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Paul Butterfield, and Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company among many other famous acts of the era. Well Street Art Co. is pleased to announce our December 2017 exhibitions featuring a ceramics invitational and new work by Rachel Mulvihill.
Teresa Shannon curates Claybodies: A Ceramic Invitational of Alaskan Ceramic Artists. In this show there are ceramics by Karen Foote, Sara Beaty, Kit Shannon, Jeremy Kane, Heidi Morel, Teresa Shannon, Craig Cheledinas, Michelle Charlton, and James Brashear. Interior painter Rachel Mulvihill will have new work in the lower gallery. Depicting interior scenes, we invite the viewer to take another look at what it means to be an Alaskan artist.
The opening reception for the artists will be on First Friday, Dec. 1st, 5-8 pm at the gallery. The exhibition will remain on view through Dec. 23rd.
