To clarify sh...e was never abandoned. She sneaked past her mom while she was loading her vehicle. Fearing for her saftey, Good Samaritans caught her and put her inside the large box inside a business, and called animal control for assistance. The person who took her knew this but decided to take Princess with intentions of keeping her. Princess is a beloved member of her family and they were looking for her as soon as they realized she was missing. We are happy that she is now back where she belongs.
WSPD and Animal Control are looking to identify the male in this picture. We are also looking to recover this dog (Princess) which was taken from the area of Capital Drive today. The male is described to be approximately 6 feet tall, receding hairline, mustache, with a heart tattoo on his hand. The WSPD is looking for the public’s help in identifying this misguided soul who felt that it was appropriate to dump his mattresses on someone else’s property on Tuesday 02/27. We would like to speak with this individual and help him learn the error of his ways with the hope that he becomes a better person as a result of his mistake. Nobody likes to wake up or go to work to find that somebody felt it appropriate to dump their trash on their property! On 02/27/18 at approximately 10:00PM, a WSPD Patrol Officer observed Mr. Khomyak operating his vehicle at the River St. and South Boulevard intersection at high rate of speed, this is a posted 30 MPH zone. The Officer reversed his direction of travel and began to follow Mr. Khomyak, who proceeded to travel through the red light at the intersection of Western Ave. and Park St. w/o slowing or making any effort to stop. The Officer activated his emergency lights and siren at this time and observed Mr. Khomyak accelerate, and weave in and out of travel lanes around slower moving vehicles. Mr. Khomyak then turned right onto Main St. and turned off his vehicle’s lights in a further attempt to evade the police. With his vehicle in a “blacked out” mode, Mr. Khomyak reached estimated speeds of 80+ MPH while operating southbound on Main St. and swerving to pass slower vehicles. Mr. Khomyak collided with the back of a slower traveling larger vehicle which caused it to crash into a tree. Mr. Khomyak was alone in his vehicle and uninjured and was taken into custody at this time. Located inside Mr. Khomyak’s vehicle on the front passenger seat was an open bag of marijuana, located on Mr. Kohmyak’s person during his arrest processing was 2-packages of the drug Suboxone.

Travis Clark Washington (32 Baymeadow Rd. Springfield)

On Saturday 02/17/2018, Patrol Officers and Detectives responded to Birch Park Circle for an armed robbery at gun point of a food delivery person. A similar robbery of a food delivery person was reported in the same area of Birch Park Circle on the previous evening, 02/16/2018.
Upon arrival Officers were able to follow a single set of foot prints in the freshly fallen snow, both to and from the scene of the robbery. These fresh tracks led Officers to focus their investigation on 12 Birch Park Circle. At that location Officers located the suspect Mr. Washington, as well as evidence connected to both robberies, including a Remington RP45 “replica style” pellet pistol. Mr. Washington was placed under arrest at the scene for both armed robberies.
Additional investigation and charges to follow regarding additional subject(s) involved in these incidents.

The West Springfield Police Dept. is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the male pictured below. At approximately 6pm on February 9th the male is believed to have committed an armed robbery at the FL Roberts Car Wash located at 513 Memorial Ave. The male approached the car wash attendant on foot from the area of Union Street and was last seen running east down New Bridge Street. The West Springfield Police is looking for the public’s assistance in locating Mr. Luis Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez is 19-years old, 5’4” tall, 200lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He most recently lived in the Birch Park Circle area of West Springfield with an uncle. He was recently reported missing by his mother, which was also confirmed by his uncle....
He is believed to have visited or stayed in Holyoke since his disappearance. Last seen on 01/15/18.

West Springfield Police are looking to identify the two men in these photo's for credit card fraud. Together they made purchases at a local liquor store for over $1,000 using cloned credit cards. On 01/24/2018 at approximately 1:00PM, West Springfield Police Officers and Detectives responded to 1557 Riverdale Street, the Express Inn, for a reported shooting. Upon arrival Officers located Mr. Hall laying in a snowbank and suffering from a single gunshot wound to the arm. Several other Motel guests were around Mr. Hall when Officers arrived.
Investigation revealed that Mr. Hall and several other individuals exchanged gunfire in the parking lot of the motel and several rooms sustained damage from bullets being fired. The combatants were not staying at the motel at the time of the shooting, and both had recently arrived just prior to the incident. Mr. Hall was taken to Bay State Medical Center by the WSFD Ambulance, where he was treated for his injuries and later released. Mr. Hall was arrested upon being discharged from the hospital.
A second victim from this incident, who had fled prior to Police arrival, arrived at Holyoke Hospital approximately 15 minutes after the police arrived at the scene. That victim was transferred to Bay State Medical Center for a gunshot wound to his hand
The investigation is ongoing as evidence is examined, multiple leads and witnesses (some cooperative and some not cooperative), are followed up on by Detectives. This incident was not random in nature and parties involved were known to each other.
